Since industrial production,performance management has always been the key point of enterprise management.In recent years,more and more business leaders start to consider and build their performance management system so as to reach the targets of their businesses.But the real problem is that most enterprises are implementing performance management,and the cases of effective implementation and obvious results are rare.So it has become an urgent issue for entrepreneurs to optimize their performance system that is well matched with their enterprises.This paper takes Jiangsu Jianghuai power company as the research sample.On the base of the research results of the worldwide performance management theory,through the methods of field investigation,interview and questionnaire survey,this paper points out the problems of the employee performance management system currently implemented by Jianghuai power company: performance management fails to effectively undertake the company’s strategy,too many financial indicators,too many indicators,insufficient quantification of functional indicators The vertical and horizontal relevance of the index system is not enough,and the performance interview and feedback technology are lack,etc.Through the analysis of the company’s various ranks and post attributes,the hierarchical employee performance management system is constructed: the balanced scorecard is used in the senior management,the KPI is used in the middle management,and the KPI + key work is used in the grass-roots staff for evaluation.At the same time,according to the organization structure of Jianghuai power company,further clarify the organization system and departmental responsibilities of the performance management,determine the assessment cycle,indicator setting principle,assessment subject,assessment process,and indicator data collection form of different levels of posts,and emphasize the performance interview,performance counseling,comprehensive application of performance results,etc.The optimization of the performance management system can efficiently undertake the company’s strategy,transfer the operating pressure from the market,and make the performance management process more productive,the index setting more rational and the application of performance results more all-round,which plays a better decision-making and guiding role for the introduction,use,education and retention of talents,and then promote the improvement of the company’s organizational performance.
