| In recent years,because of the rapid development of digital technology,Chinese digital industrialization and industrial digitization have been accelerating that promoting the integration of the digital economy and manufacturing industry.And one of the main goals is to accelerating the building of a new development system which use the domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international cycles promoting each other.Digital input has become a key driving force for the global value chain position of Chinese manufacturing to upstream.From the impact of digital input on the global value chain position of Chinese manufacturing,through reading and sorting out relevant literature,this paper conceives a theoretical framework,and finds that digital input can reduce costs,improve production and operation efficiency,promote technological innovation,expand the boundaries of labor division,change value distribution and adjust industrial structure,promote the upstream movement of the global value chain position of Chinese manufacturing.Due to the heterogeneity of digital input and the different characteristics of manufacturing industries with different factor intensities,a heterogeneity study is carried out on the impact of digital input on the global value chain position of Chinese manufacturing.On the basis of defining the connotation of digitalization and the supporting industry,the input-output method is used to construct the measurement index of digital input,and the digital input of Chinese manufacturing industry from 2000 to 2014 is calculated based on the WIOD database.At the same time,the UIBE database was used to calculate the global value chain position of Chinese manufacturing industry.After completing the calculation of relevant indicators,conduct factual investigation and feature analysis,and finally conduct empirical testing and heterogeneity analysis based on the panel data fixed effect model.Through systematic theoretical and empirical research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The increase of digital input significantly promote the upstream movement of the total production position of China’s manufacturing industry.(2)Among the manufacturing industries with different factor intensities,digital input has the most significant promotion on the GVC position of technology-intensive manufacturing;labor-intensive manufacturing`s GVC position is obviously affected by digital investment;capital-intensive manufacturing`s GVC position is not significantly affected by digital input.(3)There is heterogeneity in digital input from different sources.Digital transaction input is the main factor that promotes the upstream movement of the total production position of China’s manufacturing.Digital infrastructure input is a secondary factor.The impact of digital media input on the position of China’s manufacturing global value chain is negatively correlated.The research conclusions provide an empirical basis for further formulating digital economy development policies,accelerating the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry,promoting the upstream movement of the total production position of China’s manufacturing industry,breaking the "low-end lock-in" trap,and obtaining higher added value. |
