The Research On The Impact Of Digital Service Trade On Regional Value Chain Reconstruction In East Asia

At present,trade protection,COVID-19 epidemic,political conflict and other factors are accelerating the disintegration and reconstruction of the global value chain,making it develop towards regionalization and fragmentation,and gradually forming a new pattern of regional production division.Reconstructing regional value chains with their own countries as the core has become an important way for countries to participate in international cooperation and improve the allocation rate of resources,which requires governments to deeply explore new models of regional cooperation and new engines of economic development in the new technological revolution.The digital service trade dominated by digital technology has broken the time and space constraints of traditional service trade,strengthened the efficiency of resource exchange among entities,and become a new growth point for national economies.Research on the relationship between digital service trade and regional value chain reconstruction and how to promote a country’s position in the regional value chain through digital service trade has become a new topic for countries.In the East Asia 10+3 Economic Cooperation Organization(hereinafter referred to as East Asia),there are both developed and developing countries,as well as least developed countries and emerging economies.Therefore,studying the impact of digital service trade in East Asia on the reconstruction of regional value chains has a relatively comprehensive reference significance for other regions of the world.This article summarizes relevant research on digital service trade,regional value chain reconstruction,industrial structu re upgrading,and business environment,proposes research hypotheses and constructs theoretical models.After measuring the variable data,set up an econometric model to verify the above research assumptions.The empirical results show that: The digital services trade in East Asia will significantly promote the reconstruction of regional value chains;The upgrading of industrial structure plays a partial intermediary effect in the process of promoting regional value chain reconstruction through digital serv ice trade in East Asia;Business environment can positively adjust the impact of digital service trade on regional value chain reconstruction in East Asia.Finally,this article proposes the following policy recommendations for the study: For the whole East Asia,it should:Promote the construction of a regional platform for digital service trade;Building a unified digital service trade rules and regulatory system;Strengthen interregional technical exchanges;Countries work together to reduce barriers to digital infrastructure;Create a good business environment in East Asia.For China,she should: Adhere to the use of foreign policies with Chinese characteristics to lead the construction of regional institutions;Adhere to high-tech enabling digital service trade.
