Rural home care services are now a popular form of public service in China, aiming to provide both material and spiritual services for the elderly in rural areas. This new type of senior care service can not only meet the traditional needs of the elderly "not leaving home",but also meet the diversified,high-level,market-oriented senior care needs. With the government’s vigorous promotion, the rural home care service has made certain achievements, easing the pressure of social old-age care caused by the aging population, bringing convenience to the old-age group and helping to maintain the harmony and stability of the family and society. This study adopts field research method, literature research method and comparative analysis method to visit and investigate the rural home care service care center in Bihu Town,Liandu District,Lishui City, and summarize the current characteristics of the rural home care service in the area, and finds that the system of rural home care service in the area is getting better, the organization network is gradually enriched, and the volunteer team is growing. However, there are still corresponding development problems: financial constraints, shortage of professionals, insufficient service content, weak infrastructure facilities, and inadequate institutional guarantee, etc. The reasons are mostly the low acceptance of rural home care services by the public, the limited level of rural economic development, the low entry threshold of service personnel, the lack of professional training, the single funding channel for rural home care services, and the insufficient government policy support. The government policy support is not strong enough, etc. After studying and learning from the successful practices and experiences at home and abroad, the author proposes countermeasures to improve the rural home care service in Bihu Town,Lishui City, including changing the traditional view of rural home care service, increasing the investment in rural home care service, establishing a professional home care service personnel team, improving laws and regulations, and strengthening institutional protection. |
