With the vigorous development of the new economy,the digital economy characterized by emerging information technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data is deeply integrated with the entire field of social production and life.The radiation and penetration depth of the digital economy are unprecedented.The digital economy plays an increasingly important role in the process of re integrating resource allocation,reshaping economic structure,and reshaping competitive landscape.For the development of the new economy,the digital economy is an important driving force,contributing to industrial transformation and upgrading as well as infrastructure construction.Currently,China is facing triple pressures of demand contraction,supply shock,and weakening expectations,and the development situation is severe and complex.Entrepreneurship by households is of great significance for stabilizing the overall economic situation and promoting overall social progress.The digital economy,with its high penetration,speed,and external economic characteristics,has deeply integrated with various fields of the economy and society,actively promoting the continuous development of new industries,providing entrepreneurs with a large amount of information and technological support,and creating countless opportunities.Therefore,studying the impact of the digital economy on household entrepreneurship is helpful for the government to formulate relevant policies,achieve the goal of "stabilizing employment and ensuring employment",and also improve family living standards and promote rural revitalization.This thesis discusses the combination of the digital economy and household entrepreneurship,puts forward relevant research assumptions based on theoretical analysis,and uses the probit model to analyze the impact of the digital economy on household entrepreneurship,based on the household tracking survey data released by Peking University’s China Family Tracking Survey(CFPS)in 2014,2016 and 2018 and the relevant measurement indicators of the digital economy at the provincial level,We will focus on examining the intermediary mechanism of the impact of the digital economy on household entrepreneurship from three aspects: financing channel effects,information acquisition effects,and social capital effects.In addition,this article selects the level of regional financial development as the moderating variable,and the interaction term between the digital economy and regional financial development level as the core explanatory variable to explore its moderating effect on household entrepreneurship.This article further explores the impact of the digital economy on household entrepreneurial motivation and performance,and conducts heterogeneity analysis of the results by age,household registration,household income,and region.The research conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)Through the empirical test,it is found that the digital economy does have a significant positive relationship with household entrepreneurship,that is,the digital economy can effectively promote the emergence of household entrepreneurship,and the conclusion is still robust after the endogenous and robustness tests.(2)By studying the impact mechanism of the digital economy on household entrepreneurship,it was found that the digital economy can mainly promote the generation of household entrepreneurship behavior by alleviating financing constraints,increasing information acquisition,and enriching social capital.(3)The analysis of the moderating effect shows that the combination of the regional financial development level and the digital economy can effectively promote the emergence of household entrepreneurship.(4)In further research on the impact of the digital economy on household entrepreneurial motivation and performance,it was found that the digital economy can effectively promote the occurrence of survival entrepreneurial behavior among impoverished residents,and increase the entrepreneurial performance of entrepreneurs.(5)The results of heterogeneity analysis are mainly studied from four aspects in sequence.Firstly,the age of individual entrepreneurs is divided,and it is found that compared to the youth group aged 18-45,the digital economy has a greater promoting effect on entrepreneurship among the middle-aged group aged 45-60;After analyzing the impact of the digital economy on the entrepreneurship of households with urban and rural household registration,it was found that the digital economy has a greater impact on rural household registration,while cities have a relatively smaller impact;Analyzing the impact of the digital economy on entrepreneurship in high-income and low-income families,it was found that compared to low-income families,the digital economy has a greater impact on entrepreneurship in high-income families;After analyzing by region,it was found that the digital economy mainly affects the entrepreneurial behavior of households in the eastern and central regions,while the impact on the western region is not significant.This may be due to the more complete digital economy infrastructure and better development of the digital economy in the eastern and central regions compared to the western regions,allowing families to more effectively utilize the advantages of the digital economy to help themselves start their own businesses.In addition,most heterogeneity results are also relatively evident in entrepreneurial performance.Based on the above research conclusions,this article proposes the following recommendations:(1)The government should formulate preferential policies,provide entrepreneurship loans or establish entrepreneurship consultation and training platforms,strengthen entrepreneurship education and technological innovation,and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.In addition,the government should encourage entrepreneurs to develop new products,services,technologies,and improve the entrepreneurial environment and atmosphere,in order to attract more talents and capital to enter the entrepreneurial field.(2)Due to the varying degrees of impact of the digital economy on entrepreneurship among urban and rural households,measures must be taken to bridge the digital divide.The government and society should further improve the construction of information infrastructure in rural areas,enhance the layout level of digital economy development in rural areas,and provide sufficient basic support for farmers’ entrepreneurship.And strengthen guidance and publicity,encourage returning farmers to use regional resources to engage in entrepreneurship,implement training on entrepreneurial knowledge and skills,and empower farmers to start businesses.(3)The target audience served by digital technology should pay more attention to vulnerable groups,so the government should reasonably use artificial intelligence and big data analysis technology to mine and analyze data,accurately screen out vulnerable groups,and provide them with accurate assistance services.(4)In this study,it was found that the level of regional financial development has a moderating effect on household entrepreneurship.Therefore,the government should also increase support for financial institutions in various regions to promote innovation and upgrading.At the same time,relevant laws and regulations should be formulated to ensure the trading behavior of entrepreneurs in the financial market and maintain their financial security. |
