R&d Internationalization,environmental Dynamics,and Innovation Performance Of High-tech Enterprises

The economic globalization of today’s world also means the globalization of innovation.With the further development of economic globalization,more and more enterprises worldwide are seeking valuable R&D resources across organizations,regions,and countries.However,globalization also means that business operations are more susceptible to the influence of international markets,and the uncertainty and volatility of the business environment intensify,making it difficult for any enterprise to operate smoothly.In this context,how does R&D internationalization affect the innovation performance of multinational R&D enterprises? What is the impact of environmental dynamics as a moderating variable on the R&D internationalization behavior of multinational corporations and innovation performance of multinational corporations?This article selects 427 listed high-tech companies in China from 2007 to2021 as the research object,establishes a Poisson panel fixed effect model,studies how R&D internationalization affects enterprise innovation performance,and introduces environmental dynamics as an adjusting variable to explore the impact of environmental dynamics on the relationship between the two.The research results show that:(1)The depth of R&D internationalization positively affects the innovation performance of the parent company.(2)The breadth of R&D internationalization positively affects the innovation performance of the parent company.(3)Environmental dynamics significantly positively regulate the impact of the depth and breadth of R&D internationalization on innovation performance.Eventually,this article proposes countermeasures and suggestions on how Chinese high-tech enterprises can improve innovation performance based on the empirical research results.It further delves into the research on the mechanism of the internationalization of R&D and innovation performance of multinational enterprises,providing reference for high-tech enterprises in our country to carry out research and development internationalization behavior and improve innovation performance.In addition,the paper uses high-tech enterprises in our country as research samples to reflect the characteristics of R&D internationalization behavior of high-tech multinational enterprises in our country,further delving into the mechanism of innovation performance of enterprises,extending the research boundary of literature related to cross-border R&D and innovation performance of enterprises,and supplementing relevant theories.
