With the deepening of regional economic integration, urban agglomerations have become an important part of regional economic development.According to the development rules and general experience of urbanization in developed countries and regions, cultivating metropolitan areas has become an important means to promote the integration and coordinated development of large, medium and small cities, and an effective way to alleviate "big city disease".As the capital city of Jiangxi Province,Nanchang is at the bottom of the list of provincial capitals in the central region, although its economic strength and industrial scale are at the forefront of the province. Therefore, the development of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area is conducive to the overall development of Nanchang,Jiujiang,Shangrao,Fuzhou and Yichun, promoting the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, accelerating the agglomeration and integration of regional infrastructure, public services and other resource elements, and laying a solid foundation for the rise of Jiangxi Province in the central region as soon as possible. This thesis provides an in-depth analysis of the development profile of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area through theoretical and empirical studies.Firstly, based on the existing domestic and foreign literature research results,we firstly sort out and summarize the research on metropolitan area and regional integration at home and abroad, and elaborate the basic concepts and theories. The quantitative analysis and qualitative description of the urban system, social development, industrial composition, urbanization level and people’s life of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area are emphasized to grasp the development status of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area. Then,we analyze the formation, development and evolution process of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area, and use the improved spatial interaction model and potential model to quantitatively analyze the intensity of economic ties and the spatial evolution of the economy. The advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of the integrated development of the metropolitan area are identified. Then,we evaluate the integration of industry, market, transportation and policy in the Greater Nanchang metropolitan area by using gray correlation model, locational entropy and iceberg cost theory model to identify the problems. Finally,on the basis of the development experience of advanced foreign metropolitan areas and the judgmental analysis of metropolitan area integration in the previous thesis, the development strategy of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area is proposed, and the development orientation and guarantee measures of the metropolitan area are determined. From the evaluation results of the economic integration of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area, the level of economic integration of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area has improved since 2012,but the development speed is slow and the degree of integration is not high.First,in terms of industrial integration, through the use of industrial conversion speed, location entropy and industrial relevance to measure,it is found that although the degree of industrial convergence among the three structures of the cities in the metropolitan area is high, the cities in the whole metropolitan area are developing towards comprehensive service cities;in addition, the industrial division of labor in the metropolitan area has been relatively significant, for example,Nanchang has obvious advantages in financial services and construction,Yichun has more developed transportation, storage and The postal industry is more developed, and Fuzhou has unique advantages in agricultural development.Secondly,in terms of market integration, the dispersion and convergence of retail commodity price index, residential consumer price index and non-private on-the-job workers’ wages are calculated by the price method, and it is found that the relative price fluctuations of the commodity market and residential consumer market are small and the trend tends to be stable, indicating that the degree of integration is gradually improving;however, the variability of the labor market is large, and the relative gap of on-the-job workers’ wages is still large and the degree of integration is still low.The degree of integration is still low.Thirdly,in terms of transportation integration, the "two rings and nine rays" transportation network system of the metropolitan area has been initially built, the transportation capacity of the network has been greatly improved, and the transportation health index ranks among the top in China, but there are still problems such as lack of planning in transportation layout, poor intra-ring transportation connection, insufficient external construction, and imbalance between transportation and industrial development.Fourthly,in terms of policy integration, since the concept of Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area was first proposed,a number of policies have been issued to promote its development, and the communication between cities and counties has obviously deepened, but there is a lack of perfect systems and legal constraints within the whole metropolitan area, and the relevant mechanisms are not sound enough,so the policy implementation is relatively insufficient.Based on the comprehensive evaluation of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area and the successful experience of foreign countries, this thesis proposes four development strategies for the integrated economic development of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area. The first is the spatial optimization strategy of "strengthening one core + twin cities";the second is the regional linkage strategy of internal reform and external opening;the third is the overall improvement strategy of "industrial interaction + transportation improvement";and the fourth is the post-emergence strategy of "borrowing experience + raising advantages +seizing opportunities".Grasp the opportunity of the post-emergence strategy. Finally,we propose measures to guarantee the integrated economic development of the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area in terms of policy, economy, planning and technology. |
