| Food is an important material material material for human survival and development.For the country,people’s full and good food has always been the key issue that the country needs to pay attention to.The country’s economic growth and long-term stability need to be based on food security.Therefore,food security has always been in an important strategic position of China’s economic development.Land is the basis of human planting food and even survival and development.Land carrying capacity represents the population that a country can stably supply,which is closely related to food security.In the process of continuous urban development,on the one hand,the land carrying capacity will increase with the social and economic development,on the other hand,it will be reduced due to a series of problems such as excessive population density,lack of water resources and ecological environment pollution.The reduction of land carrying capacity will inevitably bring some problems to the environment required by grain production and grain production.Therefore,in order to ensure food security and realize the rational and healthy use of land in Hubei Province,the research on land carrying capacity under the background of food security is of great significance.Taking Hubei Province as an example,this paper studies the changes of land carrying capacity under the background of food security,explores the impact of land carrying capacity on food security and the main factors hindering the development of land carrying capacity in Hubei Province,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the current situation of land carrying capacity in Hubei Province.This paper is mainly divided into six parts.The main contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the background,research purpose and significance of the topic,introduces the development of land carrying capacity under the background of food security,and analyzes the research status at home and abroad.It also explains the research content,research methods to be adopted,possible innovations and shortcomings of the paper.The second part is the theoretical basis,which discusses the relevant theories of land carrying capacity in detail.The third part is the construction of land carrying capacity evaluation system.Firstly,it describes the related concepts of land carrying capacity.Select the relevant indicators of the land carrying capacity evaluation system,and construct the evaluation index system of land comprehensive carrying capacity in Hubei Province.Finally,the standardized processing method of original index data and the calculation weight of entropy method are explained.The fourth part expounds the evaluation system of land carrying capacity in Hubei Province,selects the relevant indicators of land carrying capacity,and constructs the evaluation index system of land comprehensive carrying capacity in Hubei Province.The original index data are processed,the index parameters are standardized,and the entropy method is used to calculate the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province.Finally,the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province is analyzed.The fifth part is the empirical analysis of the impact of land carrying capacity on food security.It mainly constructs a more reasonable econometric model through the collected data,and makes an empirical analysis on the relationship between dependent variables,independent variables and control variables in the model.The land carrying capacity is divided into four dimensions:Production carrying capacity,ecological carrying capacity,social carrying capacity and economic carrying capacity,and its impact on food security is discussed.Then,through the identification of the obstacles to the land carrying capacity,the obstacle degree and obstacle factor model are introduced to identify the obstacle factors restricting the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province,in order to put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.The sixth part is the conclusion and policy suggestions.This part mainly discusses the policy suggestions to optimize the land carrying capacity and promote food security in Hubei Province Based on the previous land carrying capacity model and obstacle factor results,combined with the actual situation of land carrying capacity in Hubei Province.Through the analysis of the empirical results,the following research conclusions are drawn: first,in the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province,the weight order of the four indicators of production carrying capacity,ecological carrying capacity,social carrying capacity and economic carrying capacity for the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province is:social carrying capacity > production carrying capacity > economic carrying capacity >ecological carrying capacity.The social carrying capacity of Hubei Province was in the stage of slow rise from 2006 to 2011,rapid rise from 2011 to 2016,stable from 2016 to 2019,and the social carrying capacity of Hubei Province decreased significantly in 2020.From 2006 to2020,the economic carrying capacity of Hubei Province was generally in a stable rising state,and decreased slightly in 2020.;Second,land carrying capacity has a very significant positive impact on food security.Production carrying capacity,social carrying capacity,ecological carrying capacity and economic carrying capacity have a positive impact on food security,and the order of impact from large to small is: Production carrying capacity > social carrying capacity > ecological carrying capacity > economic carrying capacity.Third,from the perspective of single factors,the obstacle factors restricting the land carrying capacity of Hubei Province mainly include unemployment rate,population density,average wastewater discharge,chemical fertilizer use per unit area,total agricultural water consumption,crop sowing area and grain yield per unit area.From 2006 to 2016,except 2015,the barrier degree of ecological carrying capacity to land carrying capacity has remained the lowest.After 2016,the barrier degree of economic carrying capacity has remained the lowest,and the barrier degree has decreased significantly in 2019 and 2020,indicating that economic carrying capacity is not a key factor restricting the development of land carrying capacity in Hubei Province in recent years.Finally,based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first,increase and improve grain production capacity to ensure food security;Third,strengthen environmental pollution control and promote green agriculture;Third,control the size of the population and increase the employment rate.
