Research On Efficiency And Influencing Factors Of China’s Transport Service Export To RCEP Member Countries

Originating from trade in goods,trade in transport services is the basis and premise for the free flow of people and goods around the world,and is an indispensable part of the development of international trade.At present,transportation service has become the largest service trade field in China,accounting for the largest proportion of the import and export of service trade.Although China’s transport service trade continues to develop,but there are still big but not strong problems.China’s total import and export volume of transport services is growing,but it has been in deficit for a long time,and is the main component of China’s service trade deficit.From the perspective of international competitiveness,compared with developed transport trade powers,China’s transport service trade has a lower level of international competitiveness and is unstable,which is more susceptible to market fluctuations.Compared with developing countries,the competitiveness of China’s transport service trade is still at the medium level,and the transport service trade does not have obvious international competitive advantages.The signing of the RCEP in 2020 has brought new opportunities for the development of China’s foreign trade and the deepening of economic cooperation within the region.It is worth considering how China,under the historic opportunity of the signing of the RCEP,can expand China’s transport service export,narrow the transport service trade deficit,enhance the comprehensive strength of China’s transport service and help build a new development pattern in China.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research content and research methods,as well as innovation points and deficiencies.The second part introduces the relevant theoretical basis of this paper.The third part firstly analyzes the overall development of China’s transport service trade,then introduces the overall development of China’s transport service trade with RCEP member states and the detailed situation of each country,and finally compares the competitive advantages and trade openness of China’s transport service trade with RCEP member states.The fourth part,based on the existing research basis,makes a theoretical analysis of the factors affecting China’s export efficiency of transport services to RCEP member countries from the aspects of natural factors and human factors.In the fifth part,model variables are determined and the empirical model is constructed based on the above analysis of influencing factors.The stochastic frontier gravity model and trade inefficiency model are used for empirical research,and the influencing factors and trade efficiency are analyzed according to the empirical results and model measurement results.The sixth part is the conclusion and policy suggestions.According to the above contents,the author puts forward some policy suggestions which can help improve the efficiency of China’s transport service export to RCEP member countries.The results of this study show that economic scale,population size,common language and geographical distance have significant effects on the efficiency of China’s transport service export.The number of people employed in transport services,bilateral liner connectivity index,bilateral volume of goods and the quality of trade and transport-related infrastructure in RCEP member countries are significant factors influencing trade inefficiencies.The influence of tariff on the openness of China’s transport service trade is not significant,which may be related to the strengthening of the restrictive role of non-tariff barriers in international trade and the weak competitiveness of China’s transport service export.From the perspective of trade efficiency,China’s export efficiency of transport services to RCEP member states has a large room for improvement on the whole.Among them,the average efficiency of China’s export efficiency of transport services to RCEP member states varies greatly from country to country.The average efficiency of China’s export efficiency of transport services to developed countries is relatively high,while the average efficiency of China’s export efficiency of transport services to developing countries is uneven and most of them are at a low level.
