Research On The Influence Of China’s Industrial Intelligence On Industrial Total Factor Productivity

As the pillar industry of national economy,industry plays a vital role in the economic development of China.Since the reform and opening up,the industrial economy of China has been growing continuously,and the value added of the industry GDP the contribution rate is always higher than 30%,but China’s industry is “big but not strong”.The specific manifestations are lack of innovation capacity,relatively small proportion in high-end fields,overcapacity,and low resource utilization efficiency.And as the demographic dividend disappears and urbanization advances,the supply of labor,land and other factors is gradually decreasing.It is difficult to continuously drive the growth of industrial economy by relying on factor input alone.Today,a new round of scientific and technological revolution is in the ascendant,and intelligence has gradually become the new engine of economic development in all countries.In order to seize the advantage in international competition and take industrial intelligence as a strategic direction,China has issued government documents such as “Made in China 2025” and“the 14 th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing”.In order to improve the quality and efficiency of industrial economy through industrial intelligence.In this context,industrial intelligence has become a strong grasp to break through the industrial development predicament,promote the industrial transformation and upgrading,and become an important source of power for the improvement of industrial total factor productivity.Firstly,this paper summarizes the related literatures about industrial intelligence,TFP and their relationship,and defines the research direction of this paper on the basis of the existing research.Secondly,the concepts of industrial intelligence and industrial total factor productivity are defined,and based on relevant theories,the mechanism of industrial intelligence affecting TFP is analyzed from the angle of linear influence and nonlinear influence.Then,the status quo of industrial intelligence,the status quo of industrial total factor productivity and the relationship between them are expounded by using relevant data.Then the panel entropy method and DEA-Malmquist method were used to calculate the industrial intelligence level and the industrial total factor productivity.And from the national,regional,provincial three levels of the calculation results are analyzed.Finally,using the panel data of 30 provinces from 2011 to 2020 in China,the basic model and threshold model are constructed to test the linear and nonlinear effects of industrial intelligence on industrial TFP.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The development trend of industrial intelligence in China is strong,the infrastructure is continuously improved,the level of production and application is continuously improved,and the benefits of intelligence are initially showing.However,the industrial intelligence comprehensive index varies greatly in different regions,and the industrial intelligence level in the eastern region is in the leading state,obviously higher than the average of the central and western regions and the whole country.(2)In the promotion of industrial TFP,the contribution of technological progress is especially significant,while the contribution of technological efficiency is negligible,that is,the growth of Chinese industrial TFP is of the type of technological progress driving.(3)Industrial intelligence has a significant improvement effect on industrial TFP,and this positive influence is mainly achieved by promoting technological progress.And the promotion effect of industrial intelligence on industrial TFP in the east,the middle and the west is increasing in turn.(4)The promotion of industrial intelligence to industrial TFP has a single threshold based on industrial intelligence,human capital level and marketization degree,which shows the nonlinear characteristics of increasing,increasing and weakening respectively.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward five suggestions on how to promote the development of industrial intelligence and improve the quality and efficiency of industry.
