| In the digital economy,digital transformation has become a social trend,and the asset-light business model,which focuses on technology development and operation,has become a new strategic layout for many enterprises.One of the branches of assetlight operations,the franchise model,is prevalent in the courier,apparel,catering,and real estate industries.It helps companies to quickly capture market share during periods of rapid industrial development while achieving resource,brand,and management export.To verify the effectiveness of the franchise model,the following analysis combines two interdisciplinary aspects of value networks and business performance,as the value network model has become increasingly useful in evaluating business models,helping to quickly uncover the common features of franchise models,as well as the commonalities and differences in the operation of such enterprises through performance evaluation.This paper uses literature research,case studies,quantitative analysis and comparative analysis to summarize the core value drivers of STO,ZTO,YTO,and Yunda Express based on the value network model,to obtain a performance evaluation framework for these enterprises,and to apply the performance evaluation framework to similar enterprises to verify the evaluation results.The value network model can be developed through four levels: value proposition,value acquisition,value creation,and value realization,to summarize the long-term value factors that affect the daily operation and future strategy of the enterprise and integrate the value factors into the performance evaluation framework of this type of enterprise.The framework was then validated by applying it to the four enterprises mentioned above,and the evaluation and scoring were based on seven dimensions of financial and non-financial performance and 19 specific indicators.Finally,the results were used as a basis to propose ways to improve corporate performance and enhance core competitiveness by reducing distribution costs,easing price wars,improving service quality,exploring blue ocean markets,penetrating key customers,investing in digital intelligence transformation,and strengthening internal team building. |
