Research On The Impact Of Digital Technology On High Quality Economic Development

Under the overall leadership of the Communist Party of China,the economic development of our country has continued to catch up with the developed countries,and the improvement of people’s living standards has become increasingly remarkable.However,while achieving striking results,the long-term tendency to emphasize speed at the expense of quality has become a shackle that restricts China’s economic breakthrough to a higher level,and the quality issues such as unreasonable industrial structure and mismatch of factor resources in the process of economic development have become increasingly prominent.With the acceleration of the digital era,the emergence of digital technology has brought a new opportunity to solve the problem of inconsistent scale and efficiency of economic growth.Through the increasing integration with all fields and processes of economic and social development,digital technology has profoundly changed the way of human production,life and social governance,and gradually become the new driving force of current economic development.Whether digital technology can improve the adaptability and flexibility of the supply-side structure and help China to promote high-quality economic development has become an urgent issue to be studied.Therefore,it is important to fully understand the current status and characteristics of digital technology and high-quality economic development in China,and to explore the impact of digital technology on highquality economic development.In the theoretical analysis,this paper summarizes the connotation and characteristics of digital technology and high-quality economic development by sorting out and summarizing relevant research results,and explains the direct enabling logic,indirect action mechanism and spatial spillover effect of digital technology on high-quality economic development.In the measurement analysis part,this paper constructs the evaluation index index system of digital technology is structured from three dimensions of digital infrastructure construction level,digital technology exploitation level and digital technology application level,and the evaluation index system of high-quality economic development is constructed based on the new development concept,and the entropy TOPSIS method is used to gauge and deeply analyze the regional digital technology development level,the overall and each dimensional development level of high-quality economic development separately.According to the measurement results,this paper analyzes the development status and trends of digital technology development level and high-quality economic development level from two perspectives of time and space respectively,and further analyzes the development trend of their structural characteristics from each dimension of high-quality economic development.In the actual analysis,this paper explores the specific impact of digital technology on the high-quality economic development by constructing panel model and spatial econometric model.The research results show that:(1)The current level of digital technology and highquality economic development in our country both show a general trend of steady improvement,and both show a regional distribution pattern of decreasing from the east to the middle and west.Except for the opening up to the outside world,the development level of all dimensions of high-quality economic development generally shows an upward trend and there are obvious gaps.Among them,the growth rate of shared development of people’s livelihood is the highest.(2)Digital technology has greatly promoted the process of highquality economic development,and the conclusion still holds after the robustness test.In terms of specific dimensions,the promotion effect of digital technology is more significant for the three dimensions of innovation-driven,balanced and coordinated,and people’s livelihood sharing,and has a positive effect on green ecology and openness to the outside world,but its effect is not significant.(3)Industrial structure upgrading and factor resource mismatch are important mechanisms through which digital technology affects high-quality economic development.Digital technology can not only provide technical support to promote the upgrading of industrial structure for high-quality economic development,but also effectively reduce the negative impact of capital and labor resource mismatch on highquality economic development.(4)Digital technology also shows positive spatial spillover effects on high-quality economic development,but also play a radiating role and have a positive impact on the development of neighboring areas.In addition,digital technology has a significant spatial spillover effect on high-quality economic development.Based on the above research results,this paper puts forward four policy recommendations:(1)Increase investment to continuously promote the development of digital technology.(2)Strengthen digital technology to empower green ecology and openness to the outside world.(3)Promote industrial structure upgrading and alleviate factor resource mismatch.(4)Deepen open cooperation in digital technology and enhance regional linkage.
