With the advent of Industry 4.0 in the 21 st century,enterprises require digitalization to optimize their business processes and improve their core competitiveness.Globally,manufacturing enterprises are exploring the endless possibilities of Industry 4.0 and re-imagining the future.Industry 4.0will transform the processes,operations,supply chain management,maintenance and services of manufacturing enterprises.In recent years,Guizhou has prioritized the development of the digital economy,actively promoted the strategic action of big data,and endeavored to develop the big data industry.Digitalization has presented new opportunities for small and micro enterprises in Guizhou to participate in the global economy.Although small and micro enterprises play a crucial role in creating employment opportunities and contributing to the national economy,they are relatively slow in their digital transformation.Due to the complexity and unpredictability of digital transformation and the unique characteristics of small and micro enterprises,there are some problems and obstacles in their digital transformation,such as a lack of understanding of necessary knowledge,low adoption rate of digital technology,and poor integration ability of digital resources.In this scenario,small and micro manufacturing enterprises in Guizhou urgently require a digital maturity evaluation index to identify problems in the process of digital transformation,so as to better promote their digital transformation.Digital maturity evaluation is an essential aspect of small and micro enterprises’ digital transformation.This paper explains the connotation of digital maturity of enterprises by combining and summarizing relevant research on digital maturity at home and abroad,and defines the concept of digital maturity of small and micro enterprises.Through literature research,the paper analyzes the elements of digital maturity of small and micro enterprises and constructs an evaluation index system of digital maturity of small and micro enterprises with four first-level indicators and fifteen second-level indicators of digital management capability,digital input capability,digital output capability,and external digital environment.The expert survey method is used to obtain the relative importance score of the digital maturity evaluation index of small and micro enterprises in the manufacturing industry.The weight of each evaluation index is obtained by the analytic hierarchy method,and the digital maturity of 25 small and micro manufacturing enterprises in Guizhou is evaluated by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,and the evaluation results are analyzed.The empirical results conclude that the comprehensive evaluation score of digital maturity of small and micro enterprises in Guizhou’s manufacturing industry is generally low.The digital maturity of small and micro enterprises in Guizhou’s manufacturing industry is greatly influenced by digital output capabilities and is dominant.The digital maturity of small and micro enterprises in Guizhou’s manufacturing industry has significant differences in the level of factors,from the highest to the lowest being digital output capacity,digital input ability,digital management ability,and external digital environment.There is a significant scope for improvement in the digital maturity level of small and micro enterprises in Guizhou’s manufacturing industry,with a good external digital environment.Based on this,the paper proposes a strategy for improving the digital maturity of small and micro enterprises in Guizhou’s manufacturing industry,including building an overall digital strategy,strengthening the application of digital technology,optimizing the digital business elements,and promoting the digital transformation strategy of small and micro enterprises in the manufacturing industry. |
