With the innovation of the development of the banking industry and the acceleration of the pace of development,the importance of retail banking has gradually become prominent,occupying an important position in the development process of commercial banks,and becoming a part that cannot be ignored.Mc Kinsey&Company is a well-known consulting company,and it has made relevant predictions that the revenue of China’s retail banking business will significantly increase in the future,with its proportion of profits constantly increasing and its proportion also rising.Under the current development background,the market operating environment has undergone tremendous changes,which makes China’s banking and retail business face great challenges and pressures,requiring higher standards.However,in the early development process,the transformation of banking outlets mainly focused on functional zoning and channel integration,and many issues were not addressed,such as resource allocation issues and performance management issues.This aspect needs to be improved,which has a negative impact on strengthening the competitive ability of the outlets.In response to this situation,deepening the transformation of retail outlets has become a core issue that banks need to address urgently in their retail business.Taking into account the digital wave and the ever-changing consumer demands,this article analyzes and summarizes the transformation performance of retail outlets of the Jilin Branch of the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank(SPDB)based on theoretical and practical research.Three main reasons for the poor performance of the current retail outlet transformation are identified: weak transformation concept,lack of innovative transformation path selection,and insufficient reference to peer experience.Therefore,this article proposes a transformation framework to improve the retail outlet performance of SPDB’s Jilin Branch.This framework includes the basic framework,goals,and specific plans for retail outlet transformation,focusing on optimizing the transformation path by integrating outlet functions,optimizing outlet layouts,implementing business process reengineering,and cultivating customer-centric service awareness.The value of this article lies in guiding enterprises to develop transformation strategies that are suitable for future upgrades,improving service quality,and enhancing financial efficiency based on theoretical and practical research and the current operational status of SPDB’s Jilin Branch,taking into account the digital wave and changes in consumer demand.It provides scientific decision-making references and theoretical basis for enterprises.
