With the start of China’s fourteenth Five-Year Plan,China’s economy has begun to shift towards high quality.As the key point of the 14th Five-Year Plan for information technology,digitalization has ushered in accelerated development and has become a leading force to lead a new round of technological revolution.Under this background,it’s urgent for those companies,especially manufacturing companies to accelerate their digitalization transformation.As a quite important cost expenditure of a company,procurement is of great significance for the company to obtain high-quality competitive resources,control operating costs and ensure production and operation.Facing the wave of digitalization,companies should integrate“digitalization”into development and supply chain management,meanwhile,use the digital tools to help optimize corporate procurement management.YB Company is a large-scale petrochemical company which integrate production and sales.As the earliest and successful joint venture company in China,it provides important chemical raw materials for domestic and foreign chemical markets.With the extensive and in-depth application and development of domestic chemical industry products in recent years,the chemical market has ushered in a spring of vigorous development.Spurred by increased demand and huge profits,China’s chemical product production capacity has entered a period of rapid expansion.In this kind of market environment,how to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of enterprise operations is the key to YB’s transformation.Based on the summary and application of supply chain management theory,this paper takes YB Company,a large petrochemical production company,as an example,and comprehensively analyzes the problems existing in YB Company’s current procurement management,including problems in organization,procurement process and supplier management.And analyze the reasons of these problems.For each problem,with the help of corresponding theoretical research methods,such as literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,ASME template analysis method.And use digital tools to design optimization plans,put forward ideas for optimizing and improving procurement management and procurement processes that are in line with reality and closely follow the development trend of the digital age,to help YB company to realize the digital transformation and upgrading of procurement management,realize the modernization and scientificization of procurement management process,improve purchasing efficiency,reduce purchasing cost,and improve the company’s competitiveness in the international and domestic markets.This article provides a certain reference for the optimization of digital procurement of chemical companies.
