Research On Warehouse Layout Optimization Of F Furniture Company

In recent years,China’s logistics industry is developing rapidly and enterprises are attaching more importance to logistics.Warehousing plays a pivotal role in the logistics distribution system and is an indispensable link in the logistics process.The operation efficiency of warehousing affects the operation efficiency of logistics in the whole factory,and indirectly affects the interests of the whole manufacturing enterprise.Effective and reasonable warehousing can not only help the company improve the efficiency of material flow,reduce costs,ensure the smooth circulation of products,but also achieve the reasonable adjustment and utilization of funds.Therefore,in the face of the rapid development of logistics industry,a reasonable planning of warehousing layout can improve the competitiveness of the logistics market,but also effectively reduce the cost of enterprises.When analyzing the current storage situation of F Furniture Company,this thesis finds that there are some problems in the warehouse in the aspects of functional area layout and equipment configuration,such as congestion in the unloading temporary storage area,low utilization rate of operators and forklifts,and too far handling distance of forklifts in and out of the warehouse.Therefore,in view of the existing problems in the storage layout of F Furniture Company,The Flexsim system simulation software was used to simulate the warehouse of F Furniture Company,and the simulation results were analyzed.Then the system layout planning method(SLP)is used to study the relationship between logistics and non-logistics between each unit in the warehouse,and the arrangement of each unit is adjusted to get the final warehouse layout.Finally,the Flexsim software is used to simulate and verify the effectiveness.The congestion of temporary storage area is solved,the utilization rate of operator and forklift is improved,and the handling distance of forklift is shortened.The optimization scheme can not only improve the overall warehousing operation efficiency of F company,but also provide a reference for similar manufacturing enterprises’ warehousing management.
