An Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Agricultural Industrial Structure Adjustment And Agricultural Economic Growth In Chongqin

Agriculture is a basic industry in China,and its high-quality development plays an important role in enhancing farmers’ income,realizing rural revitalization and promoting agricultural economic growth.With the rapid development of our economy and the government’s emphasis on agriculture,more capital,technology,talents and other factors flow between urban and rural areas,agricultural production capacity has been greatly increased,changing the situation that agricultural development was restricted by insufficient agricultural output in the past.Nowadays,residents’ living quality is constantly improving,and they pursue higher quality and more diversified green agricultural products,which shows that traditional agricultural production mode can no longer meet the growing diversified needs of residents.In order to improve residents’ happiness index and promote agricultural modernization,it is urgent to adjust agricultural industrial structure.In order to realize the rational allocation of agricultural resources in various industrial sectors,this paper analyzes the agricultural economic growth and the current situation of planting,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery in Chongqing on the basis of the analysis of the relevant concepts and theories of agricultural industrial structure and agricultural economic growth.In addition,Stata software was used to analyze the PVAR model of the output value of planting industry,forestry industry,animal husbandry industry and fishery industry and the total output value of agricultural economy in 37 districts and counties of Chongqing from 2011 to 2020.The dynamic relationship between the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure and the growth of agricultural economy in Chongqing was studied by GMM estimation,impulse response and variance decomposition.Based on the analysis of the full text,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Specific characteristics of agricultural industrial structure adjustment: the proportion of total output value of planting industry in total output value of agricultural economy in Chongqing has been about 60%,and the proportion of total output value of forestry,animal husbandry and fishery in total output value of agricultural economy is only about 40%,so the agricultural industrial structure in Chongqing is not reasonable.In recent years,with the adjustment of Chongqing’s agricultural industry structure,the proportion of planting industry has been declining year by year,while the proportion of the total output value of forestry,animal husbandry and fishery has been rising steadily on the whole.(2)Empirical analysis conclusion of PVAR model.It can be concluded from Granger causality test that there is a two-way causal relationship between Chongqing agricultural industrial structure adjustment and agricultural economic growth.From the results of GMM estimation,it can be concluded that the first-order lagging planting industry has the greatest impact on Chongqing’s agricultural economic growth,followed by the first-order lagging animal husbandry.It can be concluded from the impulse response analysis chart that in the long run,agricultural economic growth has a positive impact on the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure and agricultural industrial structure adjustment has a positive impact on agricultural economic growth and tends to be stable.According to variance decomposition analysis,the contribution degree of forestry to agricultural economic growth is the highest among agricultural industries.(3)Problems and countermeasures: Although the agricultural industry structure of Chongqing presents a scientific and reasonable trend of the common development of multiple industrial sectors.But Chongqing is still faced with the internal structure of the agricultural industry is not reasonable,the regional advantage is not obvious,the processing degree of agricultural products is low,the application of agricultural technology is low and urgent adjustment problems.In order to adjust agricultural industry structure,Chongqing must adjust and optimize agricultural industry structure,give full play to regional advantages,promote agricultural industrialization process and agricultural technology innovation.
