| Agriculture,as an important foundation for the development of the national economy, has always received high attention from the central government.Since the reform and opening up,agricultural economic growth has always shown a stable trend.Entering the new era of comprehensively building a socialist modern country, many issues facing agricultural development need to be addressed. If China is to be strong, agriculture must be strong. The park plays a pivotal role in agricultural technological innovation and the cultivation of agricultural high-tech industries. So whether the national agricultural science and technology park with a long history of development and considerable construction scale has really improved the level of regional agricultural technology innovation and optimized the regional agricultural industrial structure, thereby promoting regional agricultural economic growth, this article conducts an in-depth discussion based on the above issues. The article regards the National Agricultural Science and Technology Park as a quasi natural experiment.Considering that the National Agricultural Science and Technology Park is constructed in batches, the gradual dual difference method is used for empirical analysis. This article selects panel data at the regional and municipal level from 2008 to 2019,and uses STATA15.0 for data processing to investigate whether the National Agricultural Science and Technology Park can contribute to regional agricultural economic growth and specific mechanisms.Given that the premise of using the dual difference method is to ensure that there are significant differences between the experimental group and the control group before the implementation of the policy,a parallel trend test is conducted.Furthermore, robustness testing methods such as placebo and PSM-DID are used to further support the causal effect between national agricultural science and technology parks and regional agricultural economic growth, and heterogeneity analysis is used to test the differential impact of national agricultural science and technology parks on agricultural economic growth. Finally,a mediator effect model is constructed to test the specific path of national agricultural science and technology parks affecting regional agricultural economic growth. The empirical analysis results show that national agricultural science and technology parks can promote regional agricultural economic growth, and the benchmark regression results have passed multiple robustness tests. After replacing the measurement methods for national agricultural science and technology parks and regional agricultural economic growth, the regression results are still very significant, further verifying the agricultural promotion effect of national agricultural science and technology parks. The results of heterogeneity analysis show that the impact of national agricultural science and technology parks on agricultural economic growth in different regions is significantly different. The agricultural promotion effect of parks in the eastern and central regions, provincial capital cities, and major grain producing regions has not yet emerged, while the agricultural promotion effect of parks in the western regions, non provincial capital cities, and non major grain producing regions is very significant. The results of mechanism testing confirm that the National Agricultural Science and Technology Park can indeed promote regional agricultural economic growth by improving the level of agricultural technology innovation and optimizing the agricultural industrial structure.Based on the conclusions of the study, the article proposes the following policy recommendations to continue to strengthen the implementation of the national agricultural science and technology park policy and improve the overall construction quality of the park;Promote the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological innovation, research and development, and strengthen agricultural scientific and technological support;Cultivate advantageous agricultural industries and build a modern agricultural industrial system. |
