As A century-old bank,BANK A has always been among the best in international trade,foreign exchange and other fields.With the rapid global economic growth,the commercial banks are constantly exploring the international market and carrying out international settlement business.The international settlement Department of Bank A Shenzhen Branch was established in 1996.With the natural advantages accumulated by the century-old bank,the international settlement business of Bank A has always been in A leading position in the international settlement market.However,due to the early establishment of the department,the function setting of the team is not clear.Different teams have overlapping functions or lack of cooperation,and each team member only focuses on their own business field,exposing the problem of insufficient collaboration ability of each team when combining products.How to stand out from the fierce market competition and make international settlement business develop in a steady and fast direction has be a serious problem.In order to solve this difficult problem,the senior leaders of the International settlement Department of Bank A Shenzhen Branch made it clear that they optimized the organizational structure of the department,reintegrated the teams in the department and clarified their functions so that the competitiveness of the international settlement department can be improved,the international settlement business develop in a steady direction as well.This paper selects the International Settlement Department of Bank A Shenzhen Branch as research target.Firstly,literature review method is adopted to collect the relevant literature and information about international settlement business and service capability evaluation.Through the guidance of relevant theories,can further understand the research status of international settlement department in banking business.Secondly,to access the service capacity of the department of International Settlement with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),which based on the questionnaire survey.Finally,through the analysis of the final score of each indicator,to draw a conclusion whether the optimization of the organizational structure has effectively improved the service and business capabilities of BANK A’s international settlement,finds out the deficiencies,and proposes feasible optimization strategies.Finally,The author analyzes and make a summary for the space of improvement and prospects,hoping it can help other scholars to study the future development of other commercial banks’ international settlement departments.
