With the increasingly close and vigorous development of cooperation in the Asia Pacific region, the Asia Pacific trade economy has gradually attracted the attention of the world.Mechanical and electrical products are the largest traded goods in the Asia Pacific region, and play a pivotal role in the manufacturing industry in the Asia Pacific region and even the world. With the trade of mechanical and electrical products as a link, the Asia Pacific region has gradually formed a complex trade network. To accurately grasp the characteristics and influencing factors of the evolution of the trade network of mechanical and electrical products in the Asia Pacific region is of great significance for promoting the orderly and sustainable development of the trade of mechanical and electrical products in the Asia Pacific region. As an important member of the trade in mechanical and electrical products in the Asia Pacific region,China is also a major trading power in mechanical and electrical products in the world.Studying the evolution pattern and influencing factors of the trade in mechanical and electrical products in Asia Pacific countries can better deepen trade cooperation between China and other countries in the Asia Pacific region in mechanical and electrical products. Therefore, from the perspective of complex trade networks, this article selects the trade volume of mechanical and electrical products of 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region from 2006 to 2020,and constructs a trade network of mechanical and electrical products of 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The four network characteristic indicators, network density and reciprocity,"small world"characteristics, centrality, and core edge structure, are used to analyze the evolution characteristics of the trade network as a whole and individuals. Then, the QAP regression is used to analyze the per capita GDP,population size The impact of geographical distance, linguistic and cultural differences, and co membership in free trade organizations on trade networks. Finally, based on the conclusions of the study, suggestions are proposed to promote the coordinated development of trade in mechanical and electrical products in the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region,as well as implications for the sustainable development of trade in mechanical and electrical products in China. The study found that:(1)The overall trade of mechanical and electrical products in the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region has formed a stable and changing trend. The trade networks of the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region are generally closely connected, with strong correlation between countries. The overall trade network has good accessibility, high degree of bilateral trade, and has an obvious "small world" characteristic.(2)There is an imbalance in the development of trade in mechanical and electrical products among the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region. The core edge structure of the trade network for mechanical and electrical products is evident, with developing countries Mexico and Malaysia performing well.China has a solid position as a core country in the electromechanical product trade network of the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region, with strong influence, control, and independence.(3)The influence factors of the trade network of mechanical and electrical products in the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region have gradually strengthened their ability to explain the structure of the network. The differences in population size, geographical distance, and language and culture have a significant impact on the trade network, while the differences in whether to join the CPTPP and GDP per capita have no significant impact on the trade network of mechanical and electrical products. The explanatory variables such as population size differences and whether to jointly join the Free Trade Organization have a positive impact on the network, while the three factors such as per capita GDP differences, geographical distance differences, and linguistic and cultural differences have brought negative impacts on the trade network of mechanical and electrical products in the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region.Based on the above conclusions, the paper puts forward reference suggestions for the coordinated development of trade in mechanical and electrical products in the 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region to continue promoting trade liberalization and diversification, giving play to the hub and driving role of core countries in the network, and accelerating the construction of infrastructure such as transportation and communication. At the same time,it concludes that China should deepen cooperation in mechanical and electrical trade with other countries in the Asia Pacific region, fully utilize the core influence of its trade network, and enhance trade facilitation Strengthen cultural exchanges with member countries and establish an early warning mechanism for electromechanical trade. |
