| Since the reform and opening up,with the development of social economy, rural people in China often choose to work in cities in order to pursue a better life. They continue to flow to economically developed cities such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta to seek better opportunities and earn more income. The flow of population has become the core issue and key factor of China’s population development, has become a normal state, injects impetus into the economic development of the inflow areas, and also profoundly affects the changes of China’s society. As one of the economic centers of the Yangtze River Delta,Wuxi has more than two million migrant workers. The origin of migrant workers is different, and their income is also different. It is of great practical significance to study the various factors that affect the income difference of migrant workers.Through research,we can find out several important factors that can provide a realistic basis for the government to formulate floating population policies,We will better serve migrant workers in cities, better compete for the demographic dividend, and provide talents and human resources to serve the development of the city. This paper uses the relevant data of Wuxi City in the dynamic monitoring data of the national floating population, and selects migrant workers who work and live in registered residence from other rural areas as the research object.First, the paper analyzes the current situation of migrant workers in Wuxi, and then analyzes the sample data. The mobility characteristics of migrant workers in Wuxi-mobility range, mobility duration, basic characteristics-gender,age,education level, ethnic group, health status, marital status, employment and residential characteristics-nature of the employment unit, employment industry, occupation type, employment status, residential status; Then it analyzes the income characteristics of migrant workers under various factors of these characteristics; Finally, multiple logistic regression analysis is used to analyze various influencing factors, and it is concluded that gender differences will have a significant positive impact on the average monthly income of migrant workers. The average monthly income of men is higher than that of women, and different education levels will have a significant negative impact on the average monthly income of migrant workers. The higher the education level of migrant workers, the smaller the increase in average monthly income; The difference of employment industry, occupation type and employment status has different effects on the average monthly income of migrant workers in different income segments.Based on the results of the above analysis, relevant policy recommendations are put forward. |
