The income gap between urban and rural areas,as well as differences in basic service facilities, have led to lower productivity in rural areas, severely hindered development, and an increasing gap with cities. The tourism industry, with its high degree of industrial correlation, has become the most promising industry, providing strong impetus for urban-rural integration development. At the same time, the integration of urban and rural development will to some extent promote the development of the tourism industry in the region, and the coordinated development of the two has produced additional effects, thereby driving the economic development of the region. In view of this, this article conducts a coupling and coordinated development analysis of the tourism industry development and urban-rural integration systems in Guizhou Province, uses grey correlation degree and multiple linear regression models to explore the internal and external factors that affect the coordinated development of the two systems, and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.(1)Based on a review of domestic and international research on the coupling and coordinated development of tourism industry and urban-rural integration, this article elaborates on the background, significance, content, and methods of the topic selection.(2)Sort out the relevant concepts and theoretical relationships between the tourism industry and urban-rural integration, and analyze the interaction mechanism between the two.Considering the tourism industry and urban-rural integration as two independent systems, indicators that can reflect the comprehensive development level of the two independent systems were selected and an indicator system was constructed. The entropy method was used to determine the weights of each indicator.(3)Relying on the coupling coordination degree model to calculate the coupling coordination scheduling of two systems, using the grey correlation degree model and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the internal and external factors that affect the coupling coordination development between systems, the conclusion is as follows:Firstly, the industrial foundation has played a significant role in promoting the development of the tourism industry in Guizhou Province, but the impact of industrial potential is minimal and the utility has not been effectively stimulated;Secondly, the effectiveness of urban-rural population integration in Guizhou Province has not been stimulated, and the development level of urban-rural population integration is lagging behind, while the level of urban-rural social integration is the highest, which greatly promotes the comprehensive development level of urban-rural integration; Finally, the interaction between the two systems is increasing year by year, and the trend of coupling and coordinated development is becoming increasingly evident. However, the two systems were in a state of imbalance before 2013 and only entered a coordinated state in 2016.The average comprehensive development level of the tourism industry between 2008 and 2020 was 0.017140,lower than the 0.233157 level of urban-rural integration, indicating that the development of the tourism industry in Guizhou Province lags behind that of urban-rural integration, belonging to the lagging type of tourism development.(4)Based on the actual development of tourism industry and urban-rural integration in Guizhou Province,it is proposed to promote the coupling and coordination of the two systems Suggestions for the development of tourism: Firstly, improve the supporting facilities of the tourism industry and enhance the level of tourism services; The second is to coordinate the balanced development of urban and rural areas and improve the allocation of rural resources; The third is to adhere to green development and promote industrial integration.
