| With the development of modern infrastructure such as the internet and transportation logistics, online shopping has become one of the main ways of consumption for people, changing their way of life. The demand for express delivery services is expanding day by day, providing more opportunities for the development of express delivery. However, opportunities and challenges coexist, and domestic express delivery enterprises are facing fierce competition. The main reason is that Chinese express delivery enterprises are gradually developing and strengthening through resource integration, and the internal competition pressure in the industry is enormous.Currently, due to the relatively backward development of rural economy and the contradiction in urban-rural dual construction, the uneven development of production and circulation has seriously hindered the construction of express delivery logistics networks in rural areas.Compared to urban express delivery services that are basically saturated, rural express delivery has inconvenient characteristics such as fewer outlets, long distances, slow delivery, and low efficiency.Express delivery services have not fully covered rural areas, and for express delivery enterprises,It is crucial to develop rural express delivery business well, establish a firm foothold in the rural market, enhance one’s own advantages, and gain development space and improve profitability.Under this background, through field interviews and questionnaires, this paper uses the Grounded theory to carry out three-level coding to investigate and study the development status of rural express, and selects the business development of SF Express in rural areas of D County as the main research object.Based on life cycle theory, economic benefit theory, stakeholder theory, and the theory of dichotomy, this article conducts a cost-benefit analysis of SF Express’s development of express delivery business in rural areas of D County. The cost is analyzed item by item from transportation, warehousing, labor, and management expenses, and the benefits are evaluated from the perspective of financial benefits, market benefits, and social benefits,Finally,it is found that the development of express business in rural areas is beneficial to enterprises to obtain economic benefits and improve market share. At the same time,it is also an effective way for enterprises to actively assume the social responsibility of the express service industry, promote common prosperity in rural areas, improve the sense of inclusiveness and happiness of rural residents, provide new ideas for rural community pension, further increase customer stickiness, and form a positive positive cycle.Based on the analysis, this thesis proposes practical and feasible suggestions on how SF Express can leverage its door-to-door service advantages, supply chain advantages(especially logistics and cold chain advantages,as well as packaging systems)to provide value-added services,in conjunction with the implementation of policies such as "customer, freight, and mail" and "one village, one product",providing reference and reference for further development. Finally, summarize and prospect the shortcomings in the research. |
