| In recent years, with the widespread popularity of e-commerce and online shopping platform, the express industry in China ushered in growth period, the domestic express delivery market presents a wide range of competitive trends, that has formed the pattern of the industry--private enterprise market share continues to expand, industries’mergers and acquisitions intensified competition in the market, E-commerce and Express penetrated with each other. The main competition includes the express state-owned enterprises, private express delivery companies and foreign express delivery companies.At present, laws and regulations in China’s express delivery industry are imperfect, Private express delivery companies are under the threat of UPS, FedEx, TNT, DHL and EMS due to the lack of strong financial support and policy support, in which presents small, scattered, chaotic pattern. At the same time, customers’frequent complaints, violence sorting and dismantling express privately illustrated that strengthening management specification of Private express delivery companies.In this paper, I selected SF and FedEx Express as the representatives of the private express delivery companies and international express delivery companies. Firstly, I made analysis and comparison of the two companies’target customers, products and speed, price, network coverage, customer service, brand building, investment in technology and human capital investment by using competitive advantage theory and the theory of competitive strategy. Secondly, I made the analysis of the industry’s external environment and internal operations by comparing corporate strategy, organizational structure, corporate culture and business mode.At last, I found the law summarized experiences and made a series of strategic measures to provide a valuable reference for domestic private courier industry, and to achieve a higher level of development and go to success ultimately. |
