In recent years, with the wave of the fourth industrial revolution sweeping the world, digital technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and blockchain have continuously broken through, promoting the vigorous development of the digital economy, driving the digital transformation of traditional industries, and spawning many new economies, new formats, and new models. In the process of digital transformation of agricultural products circulation,it not only drives the transformation of agricultural products circulation to intelligence, intelligence and modernization, but also has an important impact on rural industrial transformation, farmers’ income growth and income distribution.Under the strategic background of promoting digital China, rural revitalization and common prosperity,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the mechanism and effect of agricultural product circulation digitization on farmers’ income growth and income distribution to boost rural revitalization, improve farmers’ living standards and promote common prosperity.Based on the literature in the fields of agricultural product circulation, digital technology, income growth and income distribution, this paper builds a comprehensive evaluation index system for the digital level of agricultural product circulation based on China’s provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,and uses the coefficient of variation method to measure it.Then use Dagum Gini coefficient and Kernel density to study the development status and dynamic evolution trend of the digital level of agricultural products circulation in China; Finally, the fixed effect model and the threshold effect model are used to empirically test the impact mechanism and effect of digital circulation of agricultural products on farmers’ income growth and income distribution. The research shows that the digital level of agricultural products circulation in the eastern region of China is much higher than that in the central and western regions, and the regional development is extremely uncoordinated; From the perspective of difference contribution rate, the difference contribution of digital development of agricultural products circulation between regions is the largest. From the results of Kernel density, the absolute difference of the digital level of agricultural products circulation in the whole country and the three regions has expanded, and the relative difference of the digital level of agricultural products circulation in the whole country, the eastern and western regions has shown a narrowing trend. The digitization of agricultural products circulation has a significant effect on the income of farmers, and mainly changes the income structure of farmers by increasing the wage income and operating income of farmers.Farmers with different levels of human capital can benefit from the digital transformation of agricultural products circulation, but farmers with higher levels of human capital benefit more from the digital transformation of agricultural products circulation. For different regions and provinces with different policy intensity, the impact of digital circulation of agricultural products on farmers’ income growth is heterogeneous;the digitization of agricultural products circulation has increased farmers’ income, but it has also aggravated the income inequality within farmers to a certain extent. Finally, based on the above research conclusions, this paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations. |
