Engels’ Two Production Theories And Their Contemporary Value

Marxism occupies a dominant position in China’s ideological field and is one of the scientific theories guiding China’s development.Among them,the two production theories put forward by Engels in the book "The Origin of Family,Private Ownership and State" are important components of Marxist theory,revealing the general laws of human social development and social system changes.The interaction between the production of material materials and the production of human beings is the source of power for the development of human society and plays a decisive role in the development of human society.The two production theories run through Marxist historical materialism and the development of human society,and have always played an important theoretical guiding role in China’s social development.Starting from the historical background of the two production theories,this paper analyzes and expounds the economic,political and ideological background of the capitalist society produced by the two production theories.The two theories of production came into being under the circumstances of the continuous development of capitalist economy,the continuous improvement of politics,the questioning and criticism of Marxist theory and the obstacles of proletarian revolution.Engels drew thinking clues from Hegel’s thoughts in the early German classical philosophy and Adam Smith’s views in the British classical political economy,and took Morgan’s Ancient Society and Marx’s Morgan’s Abstract of Ancient Society as direct models and ideological sources.Inheriting Marx’s legacy,he created the book The Origin of the Family,Private Ownership and the State,and systematically proposed two theories of production for the first time in the book,and completed the basic elaboration of the general law of the development process of human society.In the preface of Family,Private Ownership and the Origin of the State,Engels scientifically expounded the basic connotation of the two production theories and the dialectical relationship between them.On this basis,this paper sorts out and introduces the basic connotation of material material production and human’s own production,and clarifies the dialectical relationship between the two kinds of production,mutual connection and mutual restriction,as well as the joint restriction effect on the social system in different stages of social development.The general law of the development of human society is revealed by discussing the two production theories.The comparison of contemporary thought and theory and the refutation of the criticism and questioning of the two production theories are analyzed and expounded on their own scientific,revolutionary and open development.Understand the basic content of the two production theories in many aspects.Based on a systematic understanding of Engels’ two production theories,this paper analyzes the theoretical and practical values of the two production theories.Firstly,this paper expounds the contribution of Engels’ two production theories to the theoretical connotation and scientific methodology of Marxist historical materialism.Secondly,combined with the outstanding representative theories in the process of Sinicization of Marxism,Mao Zedong thought,Deng Xiaoping Theory,the "people-oriented" scientific concept of development and the Chinese-style modernization put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping,this paper analyzes the basic role and theoretical guiding significance of the two production theories,and expounds that these representative thoughts feed back the two production theories to enrich and develop their scientific connotations.On the practical value of the two production theories,starting with solving the main social contradictions in the new era of our country,from the perspective of the two production theories,it is proposed to solve the problem of insufficient development imbalance in China by insisting on high-quality economic development.Correctly understand the dialectical relationship between matter and spirit,improve the spiritual and cultural literacy of the whole nation,promote the coordinated development of material civilization and spiritual civilization,meet people’s needs for a better life,and better realize people’s own production and development.By expounding the theoretical value and practical value of the two production theories,this paper highlights the sustainable development of the two production theories in contemporary society,and highlights the role played by the two production theories in the process of China’s continuous progress towards a communist society.
