Research On Operating Efficiency Of Computer,communication And Other Electronic Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Under the economic background of increasing online demand,computer,communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries are playing an increasingly important role in the national economy.However,in recent years,unexpected events such as Sino-US trade war,chip supply cut-off,and COVID-19 epidemic have caused great impact on this industry.If the industry wants to achieve upgrade and transition as soon as possible,the operating efficiency of the industry should be improved.The assets,capital and talents of the industry should be fully utilized.The optimal allocation of industry resources should be realized.Under the current industry background,how is the operating efficiency of the industry performing?What aspects should the industry improve to upgrade its operating efficiency?Both of them are the problems that need to be solved.Based on the above industry background,this paper uses DEA-Tobit model to study the operating efficiency of China’s computer,communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry.First of all,the related literature is sorted out and summarized.Secondly,using DEA model,the comprehensive technical efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of 380 listed companies screened in this industry from 2018 to 2020 are measured.And this paper analyzes the operating efficiency of the industry from the perspective of the industry as a whole and by region.Finally,the Tobit model is used to study the macro and micro influencing factors that have an impact on the operating efficiency of this industry.This paper makes some recommendations for improving the industry’s operating efficiency based on the empirical findings of this section.The following are the conclusions drawn by this paper:(1)The operating efficiency of this industry is decreasing year by year from 2018 to 2020,and the overall operating efficiency of this industry is low.(2)The inefficiency of pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency together lead to the inefficiency of the operating efficiency of this industry,but the low efficiency of pure technology is the main reason for the poor performance of operating efficiency.(3)The operating efficiency in economically developed areas may not be high,whereas some inland areas have good performance.(4)The regional GDP,the nature of equity,the shareholding ratio of the largest shareholder and the ratio of receivable to operating income will not have a significant impact on the operating efficiency at the current development stage of the industry.(5)The improvement of per capita consumption expenditure of residents of transportation and communication,debt asset ratio and total assets turnover rate will significantly promote the operating efficiency of this industry.
