The Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Agricultural Machinery Social Service On Grain Yield

With the advancement of China’s agricultural mechanization process and the development of agricultural productive services,agricultural machinery services have also emerged.Agricultural machinery socialization service is a kind of paid service,which belongs to the agricultural productive service industry.It takes agricultural machinery service organizations or agricultural machinery service professional households as the main supplier,and provides farmers with outsourcing services such as machine farming,machine sowing,machine harvesting,irrigation and drainage,and related repair services,information services and rental services.Agricultural machinery services can play a role in the division of labor and economies of scale,promote the increase in grain production and quality,and accelerate the popularization of agricultural technology through knowledge spillovers.On the other hand,the development of agricultural machinery services may enhance the willingness of farmers to replace labor with machines,induce farmers to adjust the structure of factor inputs,and promote the transfer of rural labor to other countries.Based on the theory of division of labor,transaction cost theory and scale economy theory,this paper discusses the internal mechanism of how agricultural machinery service affects grain output.And it analyzes the status,trend,problems and causes of agricultural machinery services in China.Using stochastic frontier analysis(SFA)to calculate the technical efficiency of grain production in China from 2009 to 2019.Then based on provincial panel data,constructs a mediation model and a moderation model,empirically studies the impact path and strength of agricultural machinery services on grain output.The research results show that:(1)Agricultural machinery service has a positive total effect on grain yield,and promotes grain yield by improving the efficiency of production technology,but not by deepening agricultural human capital.(2)Agricultural machinery services can drive the transfer of rural labor,thereby weakening the positive impact of agricultural machinery services on grain production.Moreover,this path is regulated by the level of rural human capital.(3)From 2009 to 2019,the production technical efficiency of rice and wheat in China showed a continuous upward trend,but there was a certain gap in provinces.There will be more room for improvement in the future.This paper puts forward suggestions to rationally guide the division of rural labors,strengthen the training of agricultural machinery service personnel and economic support,encourage land transfer,so as to improve the agricultural machinery service market system and make it better serve food production.
