A Study On The Impact Of Intellectual Property Protection On Export Trade Quality

Since the beginning of the new century,under the guidance of the concept of sustainable development,the development of China’s export trade has gradually changed from the pursuit of quantity to the pursuit of quality.How to carry out scientific and reasonable intellectual property protection and make it better promote the improvement of export trade quality has become a hot issue that people are concerned about.This paper establishes an index system of intellectual property protection intensity and export trade quality,uses VAR model and impulse response function to analyze the impact of national level intellectual property protection on export trade quality,and explores the impact of intellectual property protection in different regions on export trade quality.Different influences give different intellectual property protection strategies,which has important theoretical and practical significance for exploring how to improve the quality of export trade from the perspective of intellectual property protection.This paper analyzes the impact of intellectual property protection on the quality of export trade by using theories such as market power effect,market expansion effect,technology spillover effect and competition effect.By collecting relevant data on China’s intellectual property protection and export trade quality from 2001 to 2020,using the VAR model and impulse response function to analyze the impact of intellectual property protection on export trade quality from the national and regional levels,the following conclusions are drawn:First,at the national level,intellectual property protection has a positive effect on the quality of export trade and this positive effect will increase over time.Secondly,from a regional perspective,the impact of intellectual property protection in different regions on the quality of export trade is different.In the eastern region,intellectual property protection has a positive effect on the quality of export trade in the short term,but will have a negative effect in the long run;in the central region,intellectual property protection has a positive effect on the quality of export trade,and this positive effect will increase with It increases with time;in the western region,the impact of intellectual property protection on the quality of export trade is positive in the early and late stages,and negative for a period of time in the mid-term;in the northeast region,the impact of intellectual property protection on the quality of export trade The effect of is always fluctuating back and forth between positive and negative.Finally,based on the empirical analysis results,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of formulating flexible intellectual property protection policies,carrying out intellectual property protection with regional characteristics,formulating laws and regulations to comply with international rules in TRIPS,and building innovative enterprises.
