When the global economy has galloped ahead,innovation has become a necessary condition for the survival and development of enterprises.People who in charge of enterprise has paid much more attention to employee innovation.From the perspective of innovation,when enterprises find themselves confronted by sophisticated environment have to improve both of their core competitiveness and innovation performance ceaselessly.Employees as the most important factor for enterprise development which can make employee innovation performance;therefore,the improvement of it can substantially affect the overall development of the enterprise.A considerable number of papers as the researches on different types of leadership can affect employee innovation performance have confirmed.Transformational leadership is one of the new types of leadership which attracted much attention.Through the previous literature review,it is found that although the theory of transformational leadership is constantly enriched and improved,there are still few academic studies with lack of empirical evidence of transformational leadership,social exchange and employee innovation performance.Under the background of the positive impact of different leadership styles and leadership traits on enterprise development and employee innovation performance.The3 main variables’ relationship are established on the solid basis of leadership trait theory,transformational leadership style;employee innovation performance;and social exchange.After analyzed a lot of literature review can put forward the essence and measurement dimensions suitable for both transformational leadership and employee innovation performance in this paper.Leadership trait and social exchange are defined in accordance with theory can constructs the theoretical research model.According to many scholars’ research and theoretical content,combine them together,this paper has four hypotheses about the relationship between the three variables.By analyzing,this paper has the following five aspects,on the basis of descriptive statistical,reliability,validity,and correlation analyses,with structural equation model,also the intermediary utility test: the rationality of survey data collect and the questionnaire design.Priority among priorities,for the relevance of transformational leadership style and social exchange,also of employee innovation performance;social exchange and employee innovation performance.Furthermore,social exchange,as an intermediary variable,has a specific intermediary path between transformational leadership and employee innovation performance.The conclusions of this study are as follows: First,in the enterprises,the style of transformational leadership is contributed to social exchange with employees.Second,transformational leadership style helps to improve employees’ innovation performance.Finally,social exchange plays a better intermediary role in improving employees’ innovation performance.The research conclusion of this paper has theoretical and practical significance.
