With the acceleration of urbanization,the contribution of construction industry to the national economy has gradually increased.However,the management status of construction projects is not optimistic.Specific manifestations are:(1)cost control is not effective(budget overestimate,budget overestimate,final budget overbudget);(2)the quality of the project is worrying;(3)project excution is not efficient.Project management performance is largely influenced by the project management team,and the project management team is largely influenced by leadership style,employee behavior and so on.Leader-member exchange theory holds that the leader's management and incentive behaviors reflect the relationship of social exchange.Based on this theory,this study explores the impact of project managers' transformational leadership style on employee performance in engineering projects,and explores the mediating role of employee organizational citizenship behavior.Through analyzing the existing research on transformational leadership style affect organizational citizenship behavior and work performance of related research is insufficient,the transformational leadership style affect the specific mechanism of employee performance,to make up for the lack of related research,but also for engineering project management in the "how to motivate employees,so as to promote performance of ascension" is of great significance.Based on relevant theories and the research results of scholars and the behavioral characteristics of employees in the field of project management,this paper conducts theoretical analysis and empirical research on the impact of transformational leadership style on employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior.By adopting the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,according to the related theory and the research results of scholars,combined with the project management staff in the field of behavioral characteristics,in order to examine the rationality of the theoretical analysis framework,this study adopted the scientific rigorous empirical research program(questionnaire design-small sample test-a formal sample analysis),the relevant data obtained by questionnaire,and USES the structural equation model(SEM)and other methods of multivariate statistical analysis,to verify this hypothesis of theoretical model.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn from this study:(1)transformational leadership style on employees The impact of OCB has been verified as a whole.Among them,"charismatic leadership" and "intelligence enlightenment" have no obvious effect on employees' self-management ability.(2)transformational leadership style can effectivelyimprove employee relationship performance and task performance.However,it is also found that charisma does not directly improve employees' task performance.(3)In the process of transformational leadership influencing employee performance(relationship performance and task performance),organizational citizenship behavior partially mediates employees' performance.
