| As a special resource endowment, the port played a key role in the development of the city in the early stage.Due to the limited resources, the contradiction between the port and the city in the development process has gradually become prominent in recent years.Coordinating the relationship between port and city has become the foothold of realizing sustainable development.Whether port and city can develop in harmony has a huge impact on urban economic growth.Under the background of high-quality development,it is of great significance to explore the degree of coordinated development of the port and city and its impact on urban economic growth. The Yangtze River Economic Belt is the most influential inland river economic belt in China.Promoting the coordinated development of ports and cities is an important measure to promote the high-quality development of the region. In recent years, with the agglomeration of population and the expansion of industrial scale in the provinces and cities along the Yangtze River, the coordinated development of ports and cities in terms of economy, environment and spatial layout is facing challenges. Therefore,it is of great significance to accurately grasp the coordinated development level of port-city economy,port-city environment and port-city space, explore the impact of coordinated development of ports and cities on urban economic growth and put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions for realizing high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.On the basis of relevant research, taking the representative inland ports in the Yangtze River Economic Belt basin as the research object, this thesis first introduces the basic concepts and theories of coordinated development,port-city coordinated development, and so on.Secondly,it analyzes the mechanism of port-city interaction and port-city coordinated development on urban economic growth, then, based on the coordination degree model, using the panel data of 15 major inland river ports and cities in 11 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2000 to 2018,the evaluation index system is constructed, the economic coordination degree of the port-city,the environmental coordination degree of the port-city and the spatial coordination degree of the port-city are calculated and analyzed respectively. Finally, based on the calculated coordination degree data,a spatial econometric model and a panel threshold model are constructed to empirically analyze the impact of the coordinated development of the port-city on the urban economic growth. The research shows that:(1)The inland ports of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and their hinterland cities are in the moderate or even low level of coordinated development, and the coordinated development level needs to be further improved;(2)In the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the development of most inland river ports lags behind the development of their corresponding hinterland cities;(3)The coordinated development of port-city has a significant role in promoting the economic growth of hinterland cities, and this promotion effect increases with the improvement of the per capita GDP.Finally, according to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions from three aspects: promoting economic growth, consolidating the material basis for the coordinated development of port and city, strict environmental protection, improving the level of coordinated development of port-city environment, optimizing spatial layout and improving the degree of coordinated development of port-city space,so as to promote the coordinated development of port and city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and promote urban economic growth. |
