As the "agreed" main body to achieve sustainable agricultural development,the family farm can combine the planting industry with the breeding industry by applying the combination of planting and breeding,forming the internal material recycling of the breeding and breeding industry,turning the negative externality of pollution into a positive externality of resources,which plays a significant role in improving the resource utilization of agricultural waste,reducing non-point source pollution,and increasing farmers’ income,so it is very necessary to conduct in-depth and systematic theoretical analysis and empirical research on the application of the combination mode of planting and breeding in family farms.At present,there are few studies on the influencing factors,economic and environmental benefit assessment of the application of the combination of planting and breeding models on family farms,and most of the calculation methods such as production-to-investment ratio,input-output value,and experimental method are used in the evaluation of the economic and environmental benefits of the combination of planting and breeding models.Therefore,the Probit model,PSM method and endogenous conversion model are used to study the influencing factors of the application of breeding and breeding combination model on family farms and to evaluate the economic and environmental benefits.The PSM method and endogenous transformation model are more scientific and practical in solving the problems of sample selection bias and endogenousness.Based on the theory of planned behavior,the theory of farmers’ economic behavior,the theory of externalities,and the theory of sustainable agricultural development,this paper analyzes the micro-survey data of 267 samples in Anhui Province,and studies the influencing factors,economic and environmental benefits of the application of the combination of planting and breeding in family farms in Anhui Province,and obtains the following research contents and results.(1)The family farmer’s education level,farming years,organic fertilizer usefulness perception,operation scale,land use degree,terrain,and access to production materials have a significant positive impact on the application of the combination of breeding and breeding models on family farms.The distance between family farms and counties has a significant negative impact on the application of planting and breeding combination models on family farms.(2)The results of the ESR model show that the farming years of family farms,the perception of the usefulness of organic fertilizer,the scale of operation,the degree of land use,and the topography have a significant positive impact on the application of planting and breeding combination models on family farms.The distance between farms and counties has a significant negative impact on the application of planting and breeding combination models on family farms.The educational level of family farmers,the perception of the usefulness of organic fertilizers,the number of laborers,whether they have participated in training,and the access to production materials have a significant negative impact on the amount of chemical fertilizer applied on family farms.The age of family farmers,the number of years of farming,and the risk perception have a significant positive impact on the amount of chemical fertilizer applied on family farms,the higher the number of years of family farm owners,the older the family farmers,the more sensitive to risk perception,for the purpose of risk avoidance,the higher the amount of fertilizer applied.The application of planting and breeding combination mode in family farms is about22.119% lower than that of family farms without the combination mode of planting and breeding,which shows that in the current family farm production and operation mode,the application of planting and breeding combination mode of family farms has obvious inhibition effect on the application of chemical fertilizers on family farms,which has environmental benefits.(3)The PSM model estimates the impact of the combination model of planting and breeding on the family farm on its economic benefits,and the application of the combination mode of planting and breeding in family farms can increase the economic efficiency of family farms by about 20.683% on average,which has economic benefits.Therefore,this paper proposes that,first,we should vigorously support the development of family farms that combine planting and breeding,formulate family farms with regional characteristics,and increase the publicity and promotion of the model for the service extension personnel of agricultural technology stations.Second,increase the policy support for family farms that combine planting and breeding,including technical services and financial subsidies.Third,improve the overall quality level of family farmers,and cultivate a new type of professional farmer who is young,understands technology and is good at management.Agricultural technology training and experience exchange meetings can be carried out.Fourth,strengthen the guidance of combining planting and breeding with agricultural technology services,broaden the channels of technical services and information sharing,scientifically plan the mode of combining planting and breeding with local characteristics,and guide the production of family farms. |
