Study On Regional Comparative Advantages And Influencing Factors Of Vegetable Production In Anhui Province

In China’s planting industry,the planting area of vegetables is second only to the planting area of basic food crops.It is the most dynamic and potential cash crop at present.The green and sustainable development of vegetable industry is an important part of China’s Rural Revitalization Strategy and the task of agricultural and rural modernization.In 2022,No.1 central document pointed out that the supply of vegetables should be protected and the quantity of vegetables and vegetables should be kept stable.Anhui Province,as a major vegetable production province,under the condition of expanding vegetable market demand,although the overall vegetable output is high,there are still some problems,such as low per unit yield of vegetables,unbalanced production areas and unreasonable structural allocation.How to increase the regional comparative advantage of vegetable industry is an important problem faced by Anhui Province.This paper first analyzes the current situation of vegetable production in various cities in Anhui Province from the aspects of production scale,production layout and planting varieties,then evaluates and analyzes the competitiveness of vegetable production in various cities by using resource endowment coefficient,scale comparative advantage index,production efficiency comparative advantage index and comprehensive advantage comparative index,and finally makes an empirical analysis based on panel fixed effect,Get the specific factors affecting the competitiveness evaluation of local cities.The conclusions are as follows:(1)the north and south of Anhui Province are relatively rich in vegetable production resources,which are suitable for vegetable planting.(2)Northern,central and southern Anhui all have comparative advantages in scale,and most of them are concentrated in the North China Plain and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.(3)The production efficiency of vegetable industry in Anhui Province varies greatly from north to south.Only five cities with a production efficiency comparative advantage index greater than 1 are Suzhou,Huaibei,Fuyang,Bengbu and Bozhou,all located in Northern Anhui.The cities in central and southern Anhui do not have the advantage of production efficiency.(4)There is little gap in the comprehensive comparative advantage of all cities in Anhui Province.The per capita disposable income,the number of employees in the vegetable industry,the amount of chemical fertilizer and the level of agricultural mechanization have a positive impact on the comprehensive advantage,while the effective irrigation area has a negative impact on the comprehensive advantage.Finally,according to the problems faced by the vegetable industry in Anhui Province,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward: adjusting and optimizing the vegetable industrial structure,promoting facility planting,promoting mechanized production,developing digital agriculture,improving the competitiveness of vegetable brands,optimizing the allocation of vegetable land resources,giving full play to regional comparative advantages and improving the level of vegetable intensive processing.
