Analysis On Comparative Advantage Of Major Grain Crop Regions In Anhui Province

Based on the theory of comparative advantage,this paper analysed the area under cultivation, production and the comparative advantage of various regions of Anhui province main grain during 2011 to 2013. Combining with the actual situation,the study analysed the problems of Anhui main grain production,explored the distribution of major grain crops in Anhui Province and proposed for Anhui main grain production.Anhui is a big agricultural province,one of the main producing areas of grain production in China.And it plays a vital role in ensuring the national food security. The paper studied the comparative advantage of major grain crops in Anhui Province,and depended on it to adjust grain crop planting structure and agricultural industry layout and improve the comprehensive productivity of grain crops in Anhui Province.This paper studied about the scale advantage,the efficiency advantage and the comprehensive advantage of Anhui main grain.During the main grain,only the wheat,beans and rice had scale advantage and their scale advantage index were 1.67,1.24 and 1.63, the scale advantage index of corn and potatoes were 0.40 and 0.30,they did not have scale advantage.The wheat and rice had efficiency advantage and their efficiency advantage index were 1.16 and 1.00,only the efficiency index of corn was about 0.90, but the efficiency index of beans and potatoes were very low,which did not have efficiency advantage.The comprehensive advantage index of wheat,rice, beans,corn and potatoes were 1.39,1.11,1.10,0.60 and 0.49,which meant that the wheat,rice and beans had comprehensive advantage and the corn and potatoes did not have comprehensive advantage index.Through the analysis of scale advantage, efficiency advantage and comprehensive advantages of the main grain crops in Anhui Province,the paper ensured the priority of the production layout of major grain crops in Anhui Province and proposed expanding the production of wheat,rice and corn,and reducing the production of beans and potatoes.On the basis of the nature condition of Anhui province,the production of the wheat and rice should be vigorously developed. The province should set up high quality and wheat and rice industry layout.Combining with the comprehensive advantage of main grain in various areas,the suggestions was put forward for food crops planting layout in Anhui.Ricecontinued to grow in south of Huai river, and reduced the rice planting in the north of the Huai river,planted wheat in Huaibei region and Luan, Chuzhou, Maanshan,and reduced Anqing, Chizhou and Huangshan's wheat planting,instead,planted comprehensive comparative higher advantage index crops.Corn was grown in the north of the Huai river.And a moderate amount of corn can also be plant in mountain and hilly terrain.Soy bean planting focused on Huai river region and yellow mountain area. The comprehensive advantages of potato were very strong in various regions,especially in yellow mountain,Xuancheng and Suzhou. Potato can be pant widely in the mountains in the south of Anhui and Jianghuai hilly terrain.On the other hand. In addition, green grain growth model should be promoted, the food development mechanism of high quality should be established and improved.
