Marine Biopharmaceutical Industry Competitiveness Research In Guangxi Province

As a strategic emerging industry,the marine biopharmaceutical industry is a strong engine for promoting regional economic and social development.Guangxi faces the Beibu Gulf in the south and is endowed with abundant marine medicinal biological resources.Through the vigorous development in recent years,the marine biopharmaceutical industry has made great progress.However,with the progress of the development model of the marine biopharmaceutical industry in other coastal provinces and cities in my country With the improvement of scientific and technological level,Guangxi’s marine biopharmaceutical industry is gradually at a disadvantage in the fierce competition,and its huge development potential is far from being fully released.Therefore,how to improve the competitiveness of Guangxi’s marine biopharmaceutical industry,achieve high-quality development of marine biopharmaceutical industry,and inject new vitality into the development of Guangxi’s marine economy,urgently requires researchers to answer.This research takes Guangxi as the starting point,and by drawing on the relevant research results of the marine biopharmaceutical industry at home and abroad,using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,to scientifically and systematically evaluate the competitiveness of the marine biopharmaceutical industry in Guangxi,and try to find the key problems that hinder the development of the industry.First,combined with the analysis framework of the diamond model and the characteristics of the marine biopharmaceutical industry,from the aspects of production factors,demand conditions,investment allocation,technology and R&D capabilities,related and supportive industries,policy opportunities,etc.Qualitative research was conducted on the factors of competitiveness,and it was found that Guangxi not only has abundant marine medicinal biological resources,but also has special industrial location advantages and strong support from local policies.Then,according to the principles of scientificity,systematicness,comparability and operability,9 indicators with availability and authenticity among the 5factorsaffecting the competitiveness of the marine biopharmaceutical industry were selected,and the competitiveness of the marine biopharmaceutical industry was constructed.Evaluation System.On this basis,using factor analysis to quantitatively evaluate the competitiveness of the marine biopharmaceutical industry in Guangxi and other 10 coastal provinces and cities,and obtain three common factors that affect the competitiveness of the marine biopharmaceutical industry.Its comprehensive score ranks 10 th among 11 coastal provinces and cities,and its competitiveness is weak.Among them,Guangxi’s first public factor(including technology and R&D capabilities,scientific research capital investment,and downstream related industry scale)ranked 10 th,the second public factor(including talent team,market demand)scored 10 th,and the third public factor(including the scale of upstream related industries)is ranked 6th.It can be seen that compared with other coastal provinces and cities in China,although Guangxi’s marine biopharmaceutical industry has certain competitive advantages in terms of marine biological resource endowment,policy opportunities,and scale of upstream related industries,there are still weak technical research and development capabilities and insufficient capital investment,the low degree of industrial relevance,these problems are the key to the backward competitiveness of Guangxi’s marine biopharmaceutical industry.Finally,based on the above analysis results,from the perspectives of domestic and foreign scientific and technological development cooperation,diversified capital investment,brand strategy,extension of industrial chain,talent training and introduction,policy guidance,etc.,combined with the location characteristics of Guangxi,put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions,in order to enhance the competitiveness of Guangxi’s marine biopharmaceutical industry and help the development of Guangxi’s marine economy take off.
