| China’s agricultural output has changed and upgraded, with modern production methods increasingly replacing backward production methods as its rural reform deepens. The production of agricultural development,to a certain degree,is the socialized service of the agricultural output, which plays an essential part in transforming and upgrading our country’s agriculture.Commercial rice seedling growth is a social service in which farmed rice seedlings are sold to farmers for planting via commodity exchange. It is an essential aspect of the rice industry’s social benefit. The importance of the industry’s transition and upgrading cannot be overstated. This paper conducts field investigation and research on rice farmers and seedling raising institutions in Binyang,Wuming,Guiping, the main rice producing regions in Guangxi, and analyzes the development and evolution of commercial seedling growing in Guangxi, the development status of the main body, and the main business model. The logistic regression model is used to discuss the influence of essential characteristics of rice farmers on purchasing commercial seedlings. The survey found that commercial rice seedling raising,as an agricultural social service, has been widely promoted and applied in different areas such as Nanning,Yulin,Liuzhou and other places in Guangxi. The proportion of farmers in the surveyed regions who purchased commercialized rice seedlings was 44%,at the advanced national level.Farmers’ behaviour of purchasing commercial seedlings is significantly affected by rice farmers’ personal characteristics, social characteristics, family characteristics and land characteristics.Commercialized rice seedling raising not only improves the yield and quality of rice, reduces production costs, improves the utilization efficiency of agricultural production factors, and promotes the large-scale operation of the rice industry, but also promotes the social division of labour in agriculture and specialized agricultural production, which is conducive to new varieties.the promotion of new technologies, but its development is slow, there are still development bottlenecks.According to the research, the main problems faced by seedling institutions are:(1)The negative impact of natural risks is relatively large;(2)The publicity and demonstration are not in place;(3)The market structure is monopolized and the pricing is not standardized;(5)A large amount of soil is used for the substrate for seedling cultivation, and it isn’t easy to borrow soil. The main problems faced by rice farmers are(1)Lack of channels for purchasing commercial seedlings;(2)Insufficient acceptance of commercial seedlings;(3)Pre-and post-production preparations are difficult to do;(4)Land fragmentation increases the difficulty in transplanting;(5)There are still losses after transferring the risk.Given the existing problems, through analysis, the paper puts forward suggestions to the seedling raising institutions:(1)Strengthen the prevention and control of natural risks;(2)Increase the promotion of commercial seedlings;(3)Strengthen the communication between commercial seedling raising institutions Cooperate with each other;(4)choose a commercialized seedling raising method that combines the actual situation;(5)increase the research and development of sustainable seedling raising substrate. The leading suggestions made by the paper for rice farmers are:(1)Participate in more specialized agricultural cooperative organizations to change their disadvantaged position;(2)Participate in more targeted technical training to improve their agricultural technology level;(3)Circulation Land to engage in secondary and tertiary industries with higher income;(4)learn to use multimedia tools to improve their ability to receive agricultural information. At the policy level, suggestions are put forward:(1)the government should increase support and subsidies;(2)insurance companies should introduce targeted insurance types;(3)localities should vigorously develop professional agricultural cooperatives;(4)relevant departments should accelerate the promotion of Rural land transfer and land preparation;(5)The agricultural sector should formulate industry unified standards for commercialized seedling raising. |
