Research On Eco-efficiency Evaluation And Influencing Factors Of Urban Agglomeration In The Yangtze River Delta

With the gradual advancement of ecological civilization construction,various regions have begun to take the initiative to transform their economic growth patterns,gradually transforming from the past development model of over-reliance on natural resources to a green and high-quality development model.Eco-efficiency takes into account the coordinated development of economy,society and ecology,and has become an important method to comprehensively evaluate production activities in a region.Although the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has strong comprehensive strength,the coordinated development of ecology and economy still faces some problems,such as the increasing pressure on the ecological environment and the unreasonable allocation of elements.Analyzing its influencing factors will help to realize the sustainable development of the region.This paper takes 27 cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as the research subject,and the research period is from 2008 to 2019.The stochastic efficiency frontier model is used to measure the ecological efficiency of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,and to evaluate the ecological efficiency and the degree of coordination of ecological efficiency;The regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of ecological efficiency and the coordination degree of ecological efficiency.The results show that:(1)The evaluation results of eco-efficiency show that the overall efficiency is on the rise,but the driving force is insufficient.Spatially,it presents the distribution characteristics of "high in the east and low in the west".(2)The evaluation results of the coordination degree of ecological efficiency show that the overall coordination degree of the region has improved,and the degree of incompatibility in the northern part of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is significantly higher than that in the southern and western regions.(3)The regression results of influencing factors show that: the level of economic development,industrial structure,environmental regulation,government scientific and technological support,and technological innovation not only promote the improvement of ecological efficiency,but also promote the improvement of the coordination degree of ecological efficiency.It was not significant,but the inhibitory effect on the coordination degree of eco-efficiency was more significant.The level of economic development,industrial structure,and transportation infrastructure are more important to the western region of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,environmental regulation is more important to the northern region of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,and technological innovation is more important to the southern region of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Based on this,this paper argues that all localities should not only vigorously develop the economy,strengthen industrial cooperation,formulate reasonable environmental regulation policies,and increase scientific and technological expenditures,but also control the population density and urban scale of large cities and implement a reasonable urbanization development strategy.
