The Impact Of Digital Economy Development On Industrial Agglomeration

At today’s society,digital economy booming,and data as the core of production factors are gradually prominent,deeply affecting the structure and the development of industry.For one thing,the progress of a new generation of information technology to promote the efficiency of information,improve the level of agglomeration of all kinds of factors of production,and the development of the digital economy is also derived out of the "digital divide" at the same time,the gap between regions is further deepened,in center of the city agglomeration effect of reinforcement;Meanwhile,the development of the Internet lessen the message asymmetry of supply and demand,facilitate the realization of labor sharing,and thus promote industrial agglomeration.For another,the improvement of digital economy in information circulation channels gradually expand,combined with China’s "miracle" of infrastructure,significantly higher power enterprise location of degrees of freedom,reduce the limit of geographical factors for enterprise;At the same time,the rapid development of science has restored a fresh form of industrial organization--online agglomeration,which will also lead to the replacement of geographic industrial agglomeration and thus to decentralization.So,the centripetal force and centrifugal force,under the function of the trend of the industrial structure in our country will be affected by how?Using regression methods such as fixed effect,intermediary effect and panel threshold model,this paper makes a multi-dimensional empirical test on the overall role,heterogeneous impact,and indirect mechanism of digital economy on China’s industrial agglomeration by using the panel data of China’s cities from 2011 to 2018.The study found that: Overall,the development of digital economy has a negative effect on industrial agglomeration,the results are still significant after the robustness test.By region,this effect is more significant in eastern and western China.In terms of different industries,the diffusion effect of digital economy on China’s manufacturing industry is more obvious;Besides,this article uses the mediation effect test to conclude that knowledge spillover is a basic path to expand the degree of industrial dispersion in digital economy.Finally,through the threshold effect of digital economy sub-dimensions,it is found that there exists a non-linear effect between digital economy and industrial agglomeration,which has obvious diffusion effect on the industry in the initial stage of the progress of digital economy.In the end,according to the empirical results of this article put forward the following Suggestions: firstly,keep on to drive the development of digital economy,improve the information infrastructure construction;Second,to promote the online agglomeration of development industries;Third,we should improve the spatial distribution of industries in accordance with regional characteristics and local conditions.
