| High-tech industry is an indispensable industry in the national economic system,an important reliance on China’s economic development,a3 nd has a broad development prospect. In the report of the 19 th National Congress,it is pointed out that China should be an innovative power by 2035,and the high-tech industry has become a key subject in the process of establishing an innovative socialist power. The high-tech industry has become a key player in the process of establishing an innovative socialist country, and its development is crucial to the country’s innovation development. The level of innovation performance of high-tech industry represents the level of industrial development, therefore,it is important to study the innovation performance of high-tech industry. At the same time,in recent years, the country vigorously develops the digital economy, and the concept of "digital economy" is widely used in theory and practice, which can become the engine of industrial innovation development through digital technology. Therefore,it is very important to study the impact of digital economy on the innovation performance of high-tech industries. In terms of theory, this thesis firstly compares and reviews the literature, mainly from the digital economy, innovation performance of high-tech industry and the research level related to both to summarize, then introduces the theory of digital economy, the theory of industrial development and the theory of innovation development to lay the theoretical foundation, and analyzes the path of digital economy affecting the innovation development of high-tech industry and the mechanism of enhancing innovation performance. In terms of empirical evidence, this thesis takes the panel data of thirty provinces in China from 2013 to2019 as samples, and measures the comprehensive score of digital economy development level and innovation performance of high-tech industry by using entropy value method and DEA-based window analysis method respectively, and conducts preliminary analysis according to the measurement results;then, after conducting spatial autocorrelation analysis,a spatial econometric model is selected to explore the impact of digital economy on hightech industry After conducting a spatial autocorrelation analysis,a spatial econometric model was selected to explore the impact of the digital economy on the innovation performance of high-tech industries, and finally, research conclusions and policy recommendations were proposed. The findings of the study are as follows.First, the level of development of the digital economy rose year by year from 2013 to2019,with a positive development trend;the innovation performance of the high-tech industry spiralled upwards. The regional performance of both shows stepwise differences between the East and the West, with obvious regional heterogeneity, and targeted measures need to be taken to rationally allocate resources and narrow the gap.Secondly,in terms of spatial correlation analysis,China’s digital economy development level is spatially autocorrelated, while the innovation performance of high-tech industries is spatially autocorrelated in only four years. Both are distributed in quadrants one and three in the local Moran scatter plot, showing a high-high or low-low clustering pattern.Thirdly, the process of improving the innovation performance of high-tech industries in China will all produce an obvious spatial spillover effect,in other words, the improvement of the innovation performance of high-tech industries in neighbouring regions will lead to the improvement of the innovation performance of high-tech industries in the local region.Fourth, from the results of the measurement of spatial spillover effect,it can be seen that, from the direct effect, the improvement of the development level of digital economy, market structure, industry scale and capital structure per capita in the region will promote the innovation performance of high-tech industry in the region, while the GDP per capita in the region will negatively affect the innovation performance of high-tech industry in the region;from the indirect effect, the improvement of the digital economy development level and GDP per capita in the neighbouring regions will development level and the increase of per capita GDP will promote the development of innovation in the region’s high-tech industry and improve its performance,at this time, the spillover effect is greater than the competition effect, while the per capita human capital stock of the neighbouring regions and the regional education level will have a negative impact on the high-tech innovation performance, and the competition effect is greater than the spillover effect. From the total effect, the improvement of the development level of digital economy and the expansion of industry scale in each region have a positive impact on the innovation performance of high-tech industry in China. |
