| Manufacturing is the foundation of a nation,the foundation of a strong country,and a key link in promoting high-quality economic development.General Secretary Xi attaches great importance to the "strategy of the rise of the Central Region",advocates the central region to actively open up to the outside world,improve the innovation ability and export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry,the central region connects the east and west,has a good industrial foundation,is an important position to achieve the goal of "manufacturing power".Under the background that macro economy,manufacturing industry and foreign capital utilization have all entered the stage of "high-quality development",how to attract high-quality FDI and use high-quality FDI to promote the innovative development of manufacturing industry has become a key research issue in central China.This thesis takes "FDI quality" as the entry point to explore the impact of FDI quality on the innovation and development of manufacturing industry,and focuses on the analysis of the role of FDI technology on the manufacturing industry in central provinces and cities.In this thesis,the main content is as follows,firstly,in aspect of present situation analysis,this thesis from the whole country,the six provinces in central,manufacturing industry three perspectives,provincial and municipal divided into two levels,analysis of FDI utilization and central provinces manufacturing innovation and development ability,analyzes the foundation of manufacturing industry innovation and development in central China and the current problems we are facing.Second part is theoretical analysis,this thesis defines related concepts of "FDI quality" and "manufacturing innovation and development",and then from the related theory of technology innovation,related theory of FDI,FDI technical spillover effect through theoretical analysis,three aspects discussed the influence of FDI on manufacturing quality innovation and development mechanism,and from the level of manufacturing innovation direction,the influence of FDI on manufacturing quality,Endogeneity is hypothesized from three perspectives.Finally,the empirical analysis part,this thesis selects the relevant data from 2009 to 2019 to measure "FDI quality" and "manufacturing innovation and Development Score" indicators.Selection on the basis of the index calculation,the urban unit employment staff average wages,capital investment and a series of manufacturing reflect the control variable of the development of urban economy and manufacturing,constructing fixed effects regression model and differential GMM model,the analysis of the effect of FDI on manufacturing quality innovation and development,and "two stage-rectifying-steady" estimates.To ensure the rationality of the selection of instrumental variables and the robustness of empirical results.In addition,based on the level of innovation capacity and cities under the jurisdiction of each province,molecular samples were divided for heterogeneity analysis.According to the above research,the main conclusions of this thesis are obtained.Analysis of the overall results in central China: First,the innovation and development score of manufacturing industry in six central provinces shows an overall improvement;Secondly,the technological level of FDI and the improvement of average wage of employees have a significant positive effect on the innovation development of manufacturing industry.According to the grouped regression of prefecture-level cities under the jurisdiction of each province,the innovation development of manufacturing industry in Jiangxi province is most significantly affected by the quality of FDI.The technological level of FDI has the strongest impact on the innovation and development of manufacturing industry in Hubei Province,but it has no significant impact on the manufacturing industry in Henan Province.The actual size of FDI has a significant positive impact on the innovation score of manufacturing industry in Anhui and Jiangxi Provinces.In the grouped regression divided by innovation capacity,FDI technology level has a significant positive impact on the regions with high,medium and low innovation capacity;FDI management level has a significant negative impact on high-innovation areas and a positive impact on medium-innovation areas.The actual size of FDI has no significant impact on high-innovation regions,but has a significant positive impact on medium-innovation and low-innovation regions.Combined with the results of current situation analysis and empirical analysis,this thesis puts forward research enlightenment and policy suggestions from four aspects,including constructing high-quality FDI introduction mechanism,improving innovation input and innovation output.Compared with the existing research,the research object of this thesis more deeply,to explore the quality of FDI to the central regions "prefecture level" of the "manufacturing" innovation and development,the influence of helpful for FDI utilization of central provinces according to their own situation and level of manufacturing industry development,formulate corresponding investment policies,and provide some ideas for collaborative innovation in manufacturing area.
