With the continuous development of the social environment and organizational culture,the requirements for the quality and ability of leaders are getting higher and higher.Although the organization advocates an equal working environment,certain negative leadership behaviors,such as abusive supervision,may still appear,bringing various adverse effects to the organization and employees.Especially at the moment,market competition is becoming increasingly fierce,and the overall benefit of the organization comes from individual Job performance.Therefore,the impact of abusive supervision on employee performance cannot be ignored.This article examines the impact mechanism of abusive supervision on employee performance,put forward the mediating role of employees’ sense of work meaning and relational energy.Using the field questionnaire survey method,52 leaders and 184 employees from multiple companies were surveyed at two points in time.The research results based on these data support the research hypothesis proposed in this article.Specifically,this study found that:Abusive supervision has a significant negative correlation with meaning of work;Abusive supervision has a significant negative correlation with employee relational energy;Meaning of work has a significant positive correlation with employee performance;Employee relational energy has a significant positive correlation with employee performance;Meaning of work and employee relational energy play a mediating role between abusive supervision and employee performance.Through the exploration of this research,on the one hand,it has enriched the research on the influencing factors of employee performance and the mechanism of meaning of work and employee relational energy;on the other hand,it also provided reference for the organization at the level of management practice.Organizations should select suitable leaders in strict accordance with the assessment standards and normalize and effectively supervise the behavior of leaders in order to establish a good working atmosphere and achieve higher organizational goals.
