Currently,China’s financial industry is facing a new competitive environment,and banking industry is also confronting certain difficulties and challenges.The institutional account manager plays the role of a link between the bank and the customer,holding a crucial position in the bank.Therefore,the competence and quality of institutional account managers are closely related to development of the bank,being a key force for advantages in fierce competition.Taking Bank N,one of the four largest state-owned commercial banks in China,as the background,this thesis focuses on the study of the optimization of the training system for institutional business account managers via questionnaires and interviews.Based on the logic of question posing,discussing and problems solving,the thesis analyses the existing problems in the training of institutional account managers at Bank N including the lack of overall planning,insufficient knowledge of the needs of employees,inadequate management,lack of diversity in training forms and inadequate feedback on results.These problems are mainly generated by the inaccurate positioning of training objectives,failure of a scientific training needs analysis system,lack of a perfect evaluation and qualification management system for account managers,insufficient diversity of training forms,and a single training effect,which mainly relies on the scoring of instructors.Based on the analysis of the reasons,an optimal design of the training system for Bank N institutional business account managers is proposed,namely,to design a training system suitable for the training of Bank N institutional business account managers by clarifying the objectives and principles,performing a perfect analysis of training needs,optimizing training management,optimizing training methods,expanding training effect evaluation and feedback channels,and strengthening the advantages of the training system.In addition,measures such as cultural,institutional,organizational,and HR functions are proposed to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimized account manager training system.Through optimization of the training system of Bank N institutional business account managers,this thesis aims to bring insights to the training of Bank N’s account managers,cultivate and attract more suitable talents to join Bank N’s account manager team,accelerate the comprehensive quality of account managers,ensure an orderly development of Bank N’s business,and support the next transformation and upgrading.
