Analysis Of Logistics Efficiency And Its Influencing Factors In Nine Provinces Of Yellow River Basin

In 2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the symposium on ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,marking the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin has become a major national strategy.Logistics industry is a basic industry to promote the economic development of the Yellow River Basin,logistics industry with the development of the Yellow River Basin economy is also in a rapid development stage,the Yellow River Basin provinces and regions continue to increase economic and human investment in logistics industry,but some regions have the problem of unreasonable logistics input structure,logistics efficiency is not high.Therefore,under the strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,we will study the efficiency of logistics industry and its influencing factors in the Yellow River Basin,and formulate scientific and reasonable logistics development strategies in the Yellow River Basin according to local conditions,so as to promote the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.Firstly,this paper compares the research theories on logistics efficiency and its influencing factors at home and abroad,which paves the theoretical foundation for the development of the whole paper.Secondly,nine provinces and regions in the Yellow River Basin are taken as the research objects,and the current situation of input-output and policy support of logistics industry in each province and region in the Yellow River Basin from 2010 to 2020 is analyzed.Again,the Yellow River Basin logistics efficiency evaluation index system,static DEA-BCC logistics efficiency evaluation model and Malmquist dynamic logistics efficiency evaluation model were constructed to analyze the logistics efficiency of the nine provinces and regions in the Yellow River Basin from 2010 to 2020 statically and dynamically.Then,eight indicators that may affect the logistics efficiency of the Yellow River Basin were selected from six perspectives,and the logistics efficiency value was taken as the explained variable and the eight indicators that may affect the logistics efficiency value were taken as the explanatory variables to construct a Tobit regression model,and the correlation between the explanatory and explained variables was measured using Stata software,and the influencing factors of the logistics efficiency of the Yellow River Basin were analyzed according to the calculation results.The following conclusions were obtained from this study:(1)The average value of comprehensive efficiency of logistics industry in nine provinces and regions of Yellow River Basin is high,but there is still much room for improvement.The average value of comprehensive efficiency of logistics in nine provinces and regions in the Yellow River Basin is 0.791,and there is still room for improvement of efficiency by more than 20%;according to the size of efficiency,the provinces and regions in the Yellow River Basin can be classified into three types: double-optimal,single-optimal management and single-optimal scale.(2)Some provinces and regions in the Yellow River Basin have input redundancy and output deficiency.2020 Qinghai,Sichuan,Gansu and Henan have input redundancy and output deficiency in different degrees,Shaanxi only has input redundancy and no output deficiency.(3)Technical progress index is the key to affect the efficiency of logistics in the Yellow River Basin.The low total factor productivity index in the Yellow River Basin from 2010 to 2020 is mainly due to the low technical progress index.(4)Logistics efficiency in Yellow River Basin is affected by many factors.The increase of per capita gross regional product,the increase of the number of employees in logistics industry,the expansion of the proportion of added value of tertiary industry,and the increase of foreign trade value will promote the increase of logistics efficiency value in Yellow River Basin.However,the increase of fixed asset investment in logistics industry,the expansion of the proportion of fiscal expenditure and the expansion of the proportion of transportation expenditure will lead to the decrease of logistics efficiency.Based on the findings,this paper proposes policy recommendations in seven aspects: improving logistics management mechanism,rational allocation of logistics resources,promoting the economic development of the Yellow River Basin,improving logistics infrastructure,cultivating logistics talents,promoting logistics technology innovation,and expanding the level of opening up to the outside world.
