| Constructing a new "dual circulation" development pattern is the only way to achieve high-quality economic development in our country,and it also puts forward new requirements for industrial upgrading under the global value chain.Although our country has deeply participated in the division of labor in the global value chain,some sub-sectors such as the vape industry are still at the low end of the value chain.Relying on the advantages of our country’s strong manufacturing system,China’s vape industry has become a "production base" in the global market in the form of OEM and other forms.As China’s vape industry is a typical export-oriented industry,the output of my country’s private enterprises accounts for about 95% of the world’s total output.In the stage of rapid development of the global market,the industry has leveraged its manufacturing advantages to achieve huge export growth.In 2021,China’s vape product exports will reach 138.3 billion yuan.At present,the vape industry is characterized by large scale and rapid growth.As the industrial chain matures,the domestic industry urgently needs to upgrade to promote the industry to extend and master the value-added links such as R&D,design,branding and channels,and get rid of "lingering low".Further maintain and expand the industry’s competitive advantage in the global value chain,give play to the role of earning foreign exchange,and provide impetus for the formation of a "dual circulation" pattern.Therefore,research on the factors affecting the upgrading of China’s vape industry has certain theoretical value and practical significance.From the perspective of global value chains,this research analyzes the upgrading of China’s vape industry and related influencing factors based on multiple theories.First,the paper analyzes the development and policy evolution of the global vape market.It can see that the vape industry has a broad market and maturity.At the same time,a comprehensive deconstruction of China’s vape industry chain,the industry is a typical purchaser-driven type of "production in China,consumption in Global",and it is urgent to extend from low-end production to high value-added value chain links such as R&D and brand marketing.Secondly,through relevant industry indicators,judge the global status of the industry,and explain the current situation and problems faced by China’s vape industry in the process of industrial upgrading.Then,according to the actual situation of the industry,improve the diamond model and classify policy factors as one of the key factors.Under the research framework,the factors affecting industrial upgrading are analyzed,including labor resources,technological innovation,financial input,foreign trade dependence,policy support and industry concentration,analyze its internal mechanism one by one.Finally,the empirical research on the influencing factors summarized in the previous article shows that various factors can directly or indirectly influence the upgrading of our country’s vape value chain at different stages of the industry.Focusing on six key factors,it provides suggestions for the industrial upgrading of our country’s vape value chain.This paper proposes to combine the value chain and innovation chain of the vape industry,and two jointly participate in the global industrial division of labor to effectively promote the upgrading of China’s vape industry. |
