| Based on a thorough study of theories related to enterprise strategic management,this paper analyzes the macro-environment for the development of HW Nuclear Power Development Co.,Ltd using PEST analysis model,and analyzes the external industry environment for the development of HW company using Porter’s five forces model;identifies the internal resources and core competencies of HW company using value chain analysis method.On this basis,the external opportunities and threats,internal strengths and weaknesses of HW company are summarized,and various alternative strategic options for HW company are identified using the SWOT matrix.Based on this,the nuclear power business development strategy and strategic objectives of HW company,as well as the safeguards and support measures required in the process of implementing the strategy are proposed.From the perspective of external macro-environment,HW company’s development faces opportunities:achieving the goal of "carbon emissions peak and carbon neutrality",economic and social development,energy structure adjustment and optimization require the development of nuclear power.Nuclear power is a strategic emerging industry vigorously cultivated by the state,with vast space in the international market and enjoying national policy support.At the same time,it also faces some challenges:the public’s acceptance of nuclear power has decreased after the Fukushima nuclear accident,the slowdown in the growth of electricity consumption and power market reform have brought greater uncertainty to the volume and price of nuclear power,the increasing nuclear safety standards have increased the cost of nuclear power enterprises,and there is a risk of nuclear power being replaced by renewable clean energy.In terms of internal conditions,HW company’s strengths are demonstrated by:the formation of a corporate culture with nuclear safety as the core and a perfect nuclear safety management system,the possession of fourth generation nuclear power technology with independent intellectual property rights,standardized operation and management,and more international exchanges and cooperation.The main disadvantages are:high speed development brings the risk of talents and corporate culture dilution,insufficient lean management,and nuclear fuel supply is constrained by competitors.Based on the analysis of external opportunities and challenges,internal strengths and weaknesses,this paper puts forward HW company’s nuclear power development strategy,as well as suggestions for ensuring and supporting the implementation of the strategy in terms of funding,human resources,organization and corporate culture.This paper has positive implications for HW company’s response to economic restructuring and power system reform. |
