Research On The Measurement And Optimization Of The Coordinated Development Of Western Regional Economy In China

In the new era,advancing the development of the western region to form a new pattern is an important measure to keep the regional development strategy advancing with the times.The implementation of the western development strategy has effectively improved the overall appearance of the western region while promoting the economic development of the western region,but the factors restricting its development have gradually emerged along with the economic development.In order to remove the influence of natural conditions and obstacles restricted by the economic foundation,and seek long-term benefits and sustainable development,the western region must coordinate the economic,resource,environmental,and social development as a whole to achieve coordinated economic development in the western region.The research on the coordinated economic development of the western region is mainly based on the 2010-2019 data of the western provincial administrative regions,combined with the relevant theories of the coordinated development of the western regional economy,and the current situation of the western regional economic development as the goal.Constructing an indicator system for coordinated regional economic development with 29 indicators from 3dimensions including economy,resources,environment,and social development,and using the“difference-driven” method for empowerment.And refer to the non-linear production model to establish a measurement model for the coordinated development of the western region’s economy,to measure and analyze the coordinated economic development of the western region as a whole and the provinces.From the perspective of location resource endowment,labor input,human and material capital input,industrial structure,foreign trade,and government infrastructure,the Panel Data panel fixed effects Tobit analysis method is used to study the factors that restrict the coordinated economic development of the western region.On the basis of empirical research and experience for reference,optimized countermeasures are given for how to improve the coordinated development of regional economy.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The internal coordination degree of the western region is 0.55,there is a slight incoordination phenomenon,and the level of coordinated development at the three levels of economy,resource environment and social development is insufficient.(2)The most critical factor affecting the coordinated development of the western region It is economic development,in addition to factors such as capital factor input,industrial structure and foreign trade.In this regard,policy recommendations such as increasing investment in education,enhancing talent training,consolidating advantageous industries,optimizing industrial structure,expanding foreign trade,and driving development through innovation,improving government cooperation,and promoting economic linkage,are proposed.
