Warehousing is an important component of the logistics industry that affects residents’ daily lives.Location allocation and goods picking are two important aspects of warehouse management.A reasonable location allocation strategy can effectively improve the efficiency of goods picking and save storage costs.The commonly used ABC location allocation strategy classifies goods by category and turnover rate.However,under uncertain demand and considering the need for safe inventory,the picking of a small number of goods within a replenishment cycle for a single item is a small probability event.The ABC location allocation strategy will also cause goods with high total turnover frequency to occupy locations closer to the I/O point,with a low turnover frequency,resulting in an increase in the total picking distance.Therefore,a storage location allocation strategy based on uncertain demand is proposed.This thesis names the strategy as a probability of Retrieval(POR)based storage allocation strategy.Firstly,the thesis describes and analyzes the situation and location allocation mode targeted by the strategy.Secondly,taking the average one-way picking distance as the optimization objective,the expressions for the total turnover rate and distance of goods under the demand probabilistic location allocation strategy considering demand uncertainty are derived.The storage space and picking distance models for goods under the Fishbone warehouse layout based on the POR location allocation strategy and the traditional location allocation strategy are studied.Finally,a numerical experiment is conducted to compare the picking distance between the proposed strategy and the traditional ABC location allocation strategy.The experiment found that under different demand curves,standard deviations,and service levels,the POR location allocation strategy was superior to the traditional ABC location allocation strategy to varying degrees.The changes in storage space and picking distance under different warehouse layouts and location allocation strategies,as well as the applicability of the POR location allocation strategy,were obtained.
