Against the backdrop of rapid technological development,disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence are constantly emerging,and these technologies have significantly changed the traditional market pattern.In this situation,academia and industry attach great importance to disruptive technologies,and "how to identify disruptive technologies" has recently become a hot topic.Due to the popularity of social platforms,various types of information about disruptive technologies are present by various media.For example,patent data can reflect the development of technology,while social network data can reflect the market recognition level of technology.Therefore,by utilizing patents and Weibo data reasonably and considering the characteristics of disruptive technologies,disruptive technologies can be identified,which is conducive to timely technological layout for enterprises and provides guidance for national research and development direction.Based on the concept and characteristics of disruptive technology,the thesis adopts a single case analysis to summarize the characteristics of disruptive technology,including innovation,diffusion,transition,enhancement,and substitutability.Starting from this,a disruptive technology identification model based on patent and Weibo data is constructed.Firstly,starting from the technical characteristics of disruptive technologies,a disruptive technology evaluation index system is constructed.Patents are used as data,and disruptive patents are selected based on the constructed index system.Secondly,taking the patent abstract with disruptive capability as the data,the disruptive technical theme is extracted by using the LDA topic model.Finally,taking Weibo text as data,Bi LSTM is used to validate the market characteristics of the extracted technical themes,and technical application scenario analysis is conducted to identify disruptive technologies.The thesis takes artificial intelligence(AI)as an example for empirical analysis to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the model proposed in this study.Firstly,the thesis search for relevant technology patents in the field of artificial intelligence in the United States Patent and Trademark Office(USPTO)database and calculate each patent based on the indicator rating system,and obtain the final score of each patent.Secondly,the natural discontinuity method is used to obtain highly disruptive technical patents in the technical dimension.The LDA topic model is used to identify disruptive technical themes.Finally,based on Weibo data,emotional analysis is used to explore the user perception and market situation of potential disruptive technologies or products.Application scenarios of disruptive technology are analyzed to identify disruptive technologies.The results indicate that from the perspectives of technology and market,this research that uses patent and Weibo data to characterize disruptive features and identifies disruptive technologies,is effective and provides a new research perspective for the identification of disruptive technologies.
