The China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship is a national topic museum with the purpose of presenting the historical and cultural relations between the two sides and promoting communication.In recent years,taking the snap at museum in social life is quite popular.This study regards the China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship as the research object,using the method of participatory observation and in-depth interviews to collect fieldwork materials,from the mediology perspective on China’s edge between Fujian and Taiwan museum of media types,meaning and social interaction.The first chapter of this article starts from three levels of museum’s material composition--exhibition objects,exhibition halls and architecture,and analyzes how these three aspects participate in the meaning construction of The China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship.In museums,exhibition objects present microcosmic details,exhibition halls present meso themes,and buildings symbolize macroscopic significance.Metonymy,enclosure and visual rhetoric are the keys to the construction of museum meaning.The second chapter focuses on the interaction and generation of meaning between The China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship and visitors’ participatory viewing.The static exhibition objects and the moving bodies of visitors form the displacement of time and space,generating a sense of history;In listening and inquiring with fellow travelers to form a interaction;The recording and sharing of images and texts expands the meaningful interaction of the museum.In the interaction,the meaning of "ancestral land" and "hometown" is generated,which makes cross-strait relations visible and arouses emotional identity.The third chapter focuses on the social interaction between Fujian and Taiwan in different time,different generations and different regions in memory,education and communication between Fujian and Taiwan.In addition to the memories and recognition brought by visiting cultural relics,the donation of cultural relics also brings about the transformation of individual memories;Museum educational activities produce intergenerational conflict or healing;The exchange activities of clan and genealogy carried out by the museum have promoted the folk connection between the two sides.On the whole,as an intermediary system,The China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship continuously transmits the common culture and memory of Fujian and Taiwan through material and technology,and on this basis,forms symbiosis and multiple interactions with visitors.
